I went into this salon yesterday and I asked for a french tip full set. One of the workers started doing my nails and he was shaking uncontrollably, tried to do the french tip and it was very clear he didn’t know what he was doing. I finally said something and he had to have another worker step in and he admitted he did not know how to do french tip. I would been okay if he said from the start he didn’t know how to do that design, however we were an hour into my appointment and with the other worker fixing it i was in there for over 2 hours. Awful shaping and overall a not good experience. Also she ended up doing another design that was not what I asked for. For 70 dollars it should’ve looked a lot better than this. Will not be back.
We had my daughter’s birthday party at Bliss nail salon. Her and her friends had such a great experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience at Bliss Nail and Spa. The atmosphere was cozy and calm and the nail techs were all kind and welcoming. I got a white no chip manicure to match the snowy weather : and the nail tech did a great job! Thanks for the high quality service!Services: Nail art
I always have such a great experience here with whomever does my nails. They are so good at getting me an appointment whenever I hope I can get one. Even when my nails are super short like now, they can always pull off such a great look.
I’m not giving this 1 star due to the manicure, I’m giving it because of the vibe. Angela is completely unaware of what it means to be kind. She is not welcoming, nor does she make you feel like a valued customer. I can’t express how far a smile and a “welcome in” would go. I’ve observed her behavior when a customer walks in and she takes each person for granted as if we have no other choices. This is a small town. By my count, she has at least 5 competitors in close proximity. I’ll be taking my business to one of them.Service: Manicure
My mother has been coming to this nail salon for years. She only sees Sue and I can see why. I was gifted a gift card for Christmas so I made the 45 min drive after booking an appointment for my daughter and I to get a no chip mani, and pedi. I just asked my mom to please never gift me a gift card from there again. The customer service was awful. My daughter wanted some nail art done and the *manager!* who was sitting at the table next to me tells me with attitude that I need to say that nail art is wanted when booking an appointment because “NOWWW all these people are waiting!” As she hand gestures showing the people sitting waiting to be seen. In front of everyone waiting. They could have said no when she asked for it?! Don’t say sure and then halfway through huff and puff about it? I said okay hesitantly and let it go. My daughter getting some flowers on her nails is not going to be putting multiple people 20+ mins behind while fully staffed. Take on as many customers as you can service. She then fails to mention until checkout that a $25 ‼‼ fee would be applied for the nail art and says she told my daughter there would be an extra fee, not how much. Simple flowers at that! When I asked why she wouldn’t ask me her mom who’s paying she blanked. Before this, I realized I didn’t like the color on my toes from my pedicure. I kindly asked the gentleman doing my mani pedi if I could please switch out the color I would pay for the polish change I really didn’t like the color on my toes and I would wait until there’s not a wait behind me aany more. He went back and forth saying sure then no then when he was done with my mani told me to sit in the chair and he’ll paint my toes very quickly. I said “are you sure it’s okay?” To which he replies “it’s not okay but I HAVE to do it.” he didn’t even remove the old polish so I now have 7 coats of polish on my toes between the two colors and top coats. My pedicure was rushed no massage, nothing. After my mani no lotion or anything everything was chop chop to get the next client in the chair. These are PAID for services. You’re not doing anyone a favor. I am baffled as my family has given this salon plenty of business over the years and I refuse to return after the service my daughter and I received today. Lina was the best and Bliss went downhill after she left in my opinion. I stopped going there after she left. However- My mother *only* sees Sue who is still there.Services: Nail art
Excellent service. Unlike so many other places, Bliss DOES NOT smell like chemicals. Goya was gentle and did a great job and was pleasant to talk with. I will be returning.
I have been to Bliss twice since May 2021 and both times I had to wait at least 15 minutes, even though I made an appointment. I NEVER had that issue prior to the pandemic. It seems like they are short-staffed and am hoping that will get corrected soon. This was my favorite nail place and hate to look for another place, but if they don't correct their staffing issues I will.
I randomly walked in one day after work a few years ago and so glad I did. Always friendly and accommodating. Plus, they’re honest about whether or not they can fit you in as a walk-in. Pricing is comparable to other salons in the area. On top of the friendly staff, they also do a really good job.
Bliss Nail Salon in Elmhurst is amazing. Very professional service and on a personal note, my mani lasts 12 days- even with kids and dishes and yard work! To speak to their professionalism, I had booked techs from another salon a couple of months ago and confirmed since, to come in and do mini manis for the teachers at my daughter's school, for our Teacher Appreciation week. The day before the event when I went to re confirm, they stated that they would be short staffed the next day, and could not do it. I ran around to several salons in the area and was told no, but Okhi at Bliss stepped up, packed up a basket to bring all supplies and sent two techs to help us out on a very busy day for them. They were wonderful and the teachers loved their lunchtime pampering! I HIGHLY recommend them!
