Originally from Austin, Texas I have been in Fort Collins, Colorado for the last five years. I love my job as a hairstylist and just opened my own business. I am located inside the Sola Salon studio 10 Blown Away Beauty Bar. Everyday is different from the last and I'm always down for a challenge. My passion is enhancing peoples natural beauty by going above and beyond to make you feel and look your best. I'm experienced in working with all different hair types, textures,and face shape; I have been to numerous color, cutting, styling,and product classes and I continue my education to keep up with new and upcoming trends. I use Wella hair color, Moraccan Oil styling products, as well as Obsession tape-in hair extensions.

I Cannot express enough how amazing my experience here was! I have had blonde hair forever literally and have never found someone that made my hair look as amazing as Amanda. She truly did such a wonderful job... Ive always dreaded spending a ton of money to get mediocre blonde hair... not anymore lol! Not only was my hair very affordable i truly got such beautiful results..I really feel like Amanda listened to me and made sure my hair was what I wanted while also giving great advice. The shop itself is so cute and clean. I had some complimentary munchies while my hair was processing! 10/10 experience. Amanda did an awesome job with my highlights.  She listened to what I wanted and did that exactly.  I am so happy I found her.  I just moved to Fort Collins and was nervous to go to a new stylist, but Amanda did a better job than my previous stylist. Yayyyy!

Katie & Amanda are both amazing hair stylists to work with! Very accommodating, easy to chat with a welcoming comfortable salon and both have years of knowledge on hair care related things. I over heard them discussing new styles and techniques they wanted to dig deeper into so always brushing up on the new trendy styles. I was charged a $145 cancelation fee because I canceled my appointment 44 hours in advance instead of the 48 hours that is required since there was a big snowstorm coming. Upon cancelation, I was told there was no leeway and would incur the fee, so I tried to keep my appointment and make it still. The morning of my appointment, I informed my stylist Amanda that my fears a couple days prior were correct and that the snowstorm was not safe to travel in. My nanny had to cancel coming in because of the unsafe snow condition, a foot of snow was predicted and was expected to continue with icy roads and forecasts of no visibility/whiteout conditions and lots more snow. The school district closed for a snow day and many businesses were also closed due to the weather. Unfortunately since my hair stylist Amanda decided she wanted to brave the storm, I was required to also.

Amanda is a great person who I loved chatting with while getting my hair done. Unfortunately since she opened her own place she has asked me to come early or later than my scheduled appt time on several occasions. I rearrange my day for her then she does a bad job on my hair from trying to rush through it. I am also convinced she does not know how to dye any hair other than blondes because both times she dyed my hair it was not at all what I asked for. I am done pretending to be satisfied and will find another local salon for my next hair appt.

Love getting my hair done here.  Amanda is awesome!  She does such an amazing job and my hair always turns out exactly how I want it!  Great location and such a cute cozy salon too!
