My name is Cassius, after burying my father who is a veteran I didn't know what to do as far as getting in contact with the VA for veterans. Jessica was THE most helpful and compassionate person in the world. She helped me get his DD214 and she got in contact with them so he can get the free headstone that they give veterans, also gave me the VA reps phone number so that I can ask about burial help financially. She is the absolute best. Thank you Jessica I really appreciate all that you have done for me and my family.
When you go to visit a loved one at a cemetery, you shouldn’t be starting at a headstone full of grass, clumps laying everywhere, and headstones sunken in. I’ve spoke with the grounds director and he said these issues would change and never have. Every time they cut the grass they leave it all over the headstones and don’t clean up. You can tell the grounds are very poorly managed. Called in three times, promising to get a call back from Ron but that NEVER happened. It’s a shame they are in this business when they have no intent of keeping things looking nice and zero respect for the deceased or their families who come to see them. If you’re thinking of using Blue Ridge, I would think again.
I had made contact in order to place a headstone on a member of my husband's family's grave. Justin was very professional kind and helpful each step of way. He made a stressful situation much better!
So my father passed away in mid September and his wishes were to be cremated and buried with his mother at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg, PA. The new urn that was suitable for burial was purchased there along with a plaque with his name and dates on it. All of this was paid for in full in November 2017. I can't tell you how many time I went out there and I got a different story why his ashes were not buried and why the plaque was not installed. Again this was paid for when it was 50 degrees, I went back the next month in December 2017 and they said that they could not bury the urn because they had to wait for the ground to thaw. So I called them in January/February 2018 to ask where the plaque was and when the urn would be placed into the ground. Well magically in January/February 2018 Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens stated that they buried the urn, so I guess waiting for the ground to thaw was another lie they told me. I went out right after they called me and said they they buried my fathers urn and the ground did not look like it was even touched, I mean not even a mark where Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens would have at least pulled back the grass and buried my fathers remains. NOT A MARK ON THE GRASS! I honestly believe that they did not even bury my fathers urn as sad and disgusting as that sounds. And at that time Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens were still waiting for the plaque yet I know I saw several other new grave markers that were new since November when I paid for my fathers in full. I made several trips out there since January/February 2018 and was told lie after lie about why his marker was still not installed. Finally I went back out today May 18th 2018 and was told that they did not install it because they were behind, behind 7 months? What about the other markers that were installed since November? Then an employee of Blue Ridge Memorial Garden told me another excuse and said that they didn't install it because of the rain this week, what about 7 months ago when when it was ordered and paid for??? Again after this last trip out there I am convinced that my fathers ashes/urn were not even placed into the ground as stated several months ago. I told the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens employee at the desk I was going to take legal action and all I got in response was "I'm sorry". No empathy at all, she did not even seem fazed by this, maybe it is a regular occurrence there. Yet again, I was not provided with any estimated time for installation of the grave plaque. This is not a professional way to conduct any business. I am extremely disappointed in the services paid in full provided by Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. I have no proper place to pay respects to my father. NEXT WEEK I AM GOING TO CONTACT MY LAWYER AND SUE THEM FOR THEFT, THEFT OF SERVICES, AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS FOR EVERY TIME I HAD TO GO BLUE RIDGE MEMORIAL GARDENS TO BE DEVASTATED BECAUSE MY FATHERS LAST WISHES WERE STILL NOT FULFILLED AFTER MORE THAN 7 MONTHS AFTER HIS PASSING AND FOR BEING LIED TO EVERY TIME I CONFRONTED THEM ABOUT IT. I AM ALSO GOING TO FILE A POLICE REPORT AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. BLUE RIDGE MEMORIAL GARDENS IS DISRESPECTFUL, DISGRACEFUL, AND DISGUSTING!!!
My Mom and I are very pleased with the support and guidence we were given after my Father passed away. Justin is very knowledgeable and compassionate which made the entire process much less unpleasant. Thank you.
This is a ridiculous memorial garden. We are struggling to put my father’s remains here and they are not helpful at all. The representative actually hung the phone up on me because I am completely dissatisfied with their lack of service. No one who dealt with loss should have to deal with this. It is unacceptable, unprofessional and inhuman. They are the worst of people right now.
I have been trying to contact this cemetery on and off for a few years now as I have 2 plots that I no longer need. NO RESPONSE to ANY of my messages. I just want to know the rules to do this.
My mom died 8/8 and was buried 8/16. We visited 9/14 to place flowers and the headstone still isnt in place - it was just laying haphazardly on the grass near the grave.
This place was very pleasant to work with. Very caring. Jess helped us out and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned.
Very unpleasant environment. Terrible customer service. The manager was never available, overall not helpful at all. Will not be recommending this business.
