This park is very nice. Lots of wild flowers, of course including Bluebonnets. A few playgrounds and walking paths to enjoy nature. There is a pond where we did see a few people fishing. The baseball parks are nice very open. The dugouts are nice and spacious. There is a concession stand and restroom were alright but could be better. It's a beautiful place to visit and plenty of areas to barbecue and picnic.
April is the time to come to get all your bluebonnet shots! Not as thick patches like the veterans park but a great place to have a picnic and a stroll.
This was my first time shooting a mini session here and it did not disappoint! I will be booking additional bluebonnet mini sessions here next year for sure!
Not what we expected, very few and between bluebonnets patches. Maybe we just missed them, but walking all around the park and some of its trails did not improve the showing of bluebonnets. Next time we won't drive that long from Arlington, before we make sure it is worth going. It really wasn't s total washout, since we did walk around the pretty sorroundings of the park
Nice little park with some trails and restrooms. Stopped while on a road trip to walk the dogs. Very well kept short trail with a small lake to look at. Enjoyed the short break from driving.
This place is so beautiful!! Not only is there the beautiful bluebonnets but there is also a small hidden trail to walk. The pond has interesting wildlife you can observe. Amazing photo opportunities at every turn. It is also next to a small baseball park with decent restrooms.
We were driving to Dallas from Houston and thought of doing a quick visit to Ennis being spring season. Had great fun clicking photos during bluebonnets season and festival. Great place to visit with friends, family or pets. Huge parking space enough for the visiting crowd and not much of a walk to the park. Wild flowers were all over the place and families had enough spots to take pictures.
I went first week of April and there were just enough bluebonnets to take a couple of nice pictures. An hour before sunset is good. The edge near the water and below the trees are potential spots. It's a good place to set your GPS to if you don't want to roam around discovering Bluebonnet patches. I'd like to see how this place is during full bloom. However, you could very well find a better spot elsewhere in Ennis if you want to put in the effort.
It was an amazing day today! The facilities were nice and clean and the grounds were well kept.
Beautiful Bluebonnet fields for taking pictures in the springtime. I enjoyed a pleasant walk through some wooded areas of the park as well. There appear to be amenities for everyone, wide accommodating trails and plenty of photo opportunities. I wish people would be more respectful of the flowers at parks such as this. They have a lovely pond. There are several well maintained ball fields here as well.
