After having a previous wonderful experience with Crystal Brown years ago, I decided to schedule my yearly exam with her at Bluegrass Clinic. I had the first appointment and she was great as usual, however I was never able to get back in for the follow up care. I was scheduled for a followup biopsy numerous times and it was canceled every time due to my provider being sick. That's what I was told anyway. This continued on and I just recently hit the year mark from the original testing and have yet to receive treatment. I made several complaints with the office but nothing changed. I have since scheduled with a different office so hopefully I can get this taken care of finally. I hadn't planned to give the bad review but after hearing about several other people having the same issues, I think something should be said. I would probably go elsewhere for your care, especially if there are serious complications.
Regardless if your a Dr's office or a Car repair store, there is something called customer service. I have been rescheduled 4 times in a row because my physician was under the weather. Don't know who's at fault but they know I'm clearly upset and they don't seem to care. The Dr. is ok, and highly recommend BUT, it doesn't seem like they have their act together. Not reliable at all.
I haven’t even been seen yet and I’m already thoroughly irritated. If you don’t like sitting in the waiting area for an hour+ and then waiting an additional hour+ to be seen, then this probably isn’t the doctors office for you. I’ve watched 4 people who arrived after I did be seen before me, with appointment times AFTER mine. It’s taking people 20 minutes to check in and out of the office, people are asking to make future appointments and are being denied, and the staff is very rude. I don’t want to be a Karen, but when you’re stuck in a doctors office full of them, it must rub off. Unorganized, unprofessional, untimely.
Update: 12/12/22 changing to two stars. If it wasn’t for Rhonda I wouldn’t even go to this clinic anymore. Waiting weeks to months for a call back on something as simple as a prescription refill or change is completely unacceptable and it happened to me multiple times now. Just made my third call today, having to leave another voicemail concerning my daughters prescription. The only one I can confirm is that yes, it doesn’t look like staff communicate well when taking calls for incoming patients cause I’ve had the same experience asking if I called before coming in and did. But when it comes to the doctors, Rhonda is AMAZING. I’ve lived all over the US, seen many different doctors and for the first time I feel like I’ve actually found a doctor who not only cares, but listens to your concerns and needs. Me and my youngest child were needing psych evals and the first thing she did was recommend a gene test that personally I think should be mandatory everywhere. My youngest who was being treated and diagnosed with adhd from a different facility? Test came back to show a genetic mutation that showed she was not absorbing folic acid to process and absorb b12 correctly which could affect her mood and emotions. She removed the diagnosis for adhd and got her in the correct treatment plan fitted just for her. I’m next on list since I have a history of negative reactions to medication and this test will show what works best for me. I’m so happy to have found her and this clinic and couldn’t recommend her more!
The Grey haired receptionist is really rude….When I called and told them I was here they asked if I had a cough and I told them yes but I was covid tested the day before yesterday. She asked if I had the results and I said I could get them and they put me back on hold. A different lady answered and I told her the same thing and she told me to come on in. I came in and the grey haired woman that checked me in asked if I called before coming in. I told her yes. She checked all my information and then proceeds to tell me “for future reference make sure you call before you come in.” I told her “for future reference you may want to listen to your patients when they come in. Because I already told you I called before I came in.” She just dropped her head and I snatched my insurance and ID out of her hand.
Dr. Roc is an awful doctor who treats you like you’re stupid. That’s the word I got from anyone I told of my experience. Now I’ve come back to see another doctor, Becky, she had no idea what was going on. She left the room to consult the theta and when I walked out from the room they were all looking at me. It was very uncomfortable. They treated me like I don’t need help and like I don’t know what works best for me. All I’ve asked is to be prescribed what I was previously prescribed back in Chicago. I’ve been given the run around. Paid a substantial amount of money over multiple appointments. And now they wanna send me somewhere else. I sat here today for almost 2 hours waiting on Becky to come in to my room. By no means would I recommend this place to anyone! Worst experience I’ve ever had.
The staff has always treated me respectfully and Rhonda is great!
They are money hungry. I have good insurance and don't have a co pay anywhere and they charge a co pay there. They did send me a check in the mail for 5 of those visits I shouldn't have had to pay and then turned around and sent me a bill for $220. That's the only place I've ever had to pay anything to. A few years ago I never got charged there and now all of the sudden the last few months they have been trying to take money I don't owe!!!! So you may want to see how much money they are overcharging you if you go there.
This clinic told me that I had high blood pressure, and a left atrial abnormality. They put me on blood pressure medication that made my BP drop drastically because I do NOT have high BP. I’m 24 years old and the nurse was telling me that I had a BP of 160’s over 90’s!!! I went to a fantastic cardiologist, my blood pressure was normal and my heart is COMPLETELY FINE! After discussing this with friends and family, I also discovered that they also told a friend that they had lupus went to a specialist, and they did NOT have lupus. Told someone else there was something wrong with their babies kidneys during pregnancy, and there wasn’t. Told another friend that they had a serious disease that they did NOT have. Told my aunt that she “needed to get her affairs in order” because she was deathly ill. And also had another family member convinced they had cancer. Not to mention there were BUGS all over the place in there. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I would not take my cat here. Avoid this place at all costs.
I am so grateful to every person that works at this clinic. They have been taking care of me when I call and make an appointment ahead of time. I think when people has bad attitudes people around them is the result of their own.
