The cardiology department is run terribly. I have sent messages to the Doctor and they go unanswered for days to weeks at a time. The read receipts are on so you know someone looked at the message. A test I had indicated I may have had a heart attack.I sent a message on a Sunday morning. My message was read on Sunday night. I received a message Wednesday that the Dr was on vacation only after I called everyday. I then had to wait another week for a phone call about my test. My PCP is at northwestern medicine and she is FABULOUS as is her staff in internal medicine. I have my mammogram there. I have used the pulmonary dept, the neurologist, histology-the list goes on and on-all great experiences. We all know part of the problem is corporate medicine. But at the end of the day it falls on the people in the department-doctors, nurses, staff. It’s been very disappointing. My cardiologist is great when you actually see her but everything else I have dealt with has led me to start shopping for a new doctor.
Wow - I'm so impressed with the care I received here. I met with both Dr. Laura Davidson and fellow Dr. Hourmozdi, and both were kind, thorough, and spent all the time I needed to explain every scenario, test, etc and answer all of my questions. There are many doctors in this clinic but even so I found the lobby to be running very smoothly and everyone who helped me check in etc was kind and prompt. Walk in lab was in and out as well and the staff was equally personable, prompt, and courteous. I highly recommend this Clinic.
The experience my family recently had at Bluhm Cardiovascular/Northwestern Hospital was phenomenal. My son was flying in from California for aortic valve surgery. Natalie A. was very patient and understanding about our inability to obtain previous test records from St Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco. The surgeons we met with; Andrei Churyla and Ranya Sweis were very thorough & spent a great deal of time educating us and exploring the best surgical options for the situation. The surgeons, ICU nurses and entire Northwestern staff made a difficult surgery over the Christmas holidays the best gift I could have asked for. Thank you again for your compassion, expertise and professionalism.
They maybe good Dr’s, but when your not well and have been short of breath for months and the soonest the specialty dr can see you is in 4 months is a joke. I have an appointment on Monday that I made in the beginning of November . This is uncalled for
I have taking treatment at this hospital and in hospital doctors and nurses take care nicely
Great Doctor..... Traveling to Chicago to have ear surgery was worth it!
