BNC Tax Our Story : After a long career in large construction and development, Cindy DuChateau started BNC Tax and Accounting in 2002 in order to serve the bookkeeping needs of individuals and small businesses. By 2005, Cindy had enough clients with interest in tax preparation services, that she and her husband, Bert, took and passed the Special Enrollment Examination given by the Internal Revenue Service and became Enrolled Agents eligible to represent taxpayers before the IRS. In 2009, Bert and Cindy ͞retired͟ to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but it didn’t take long for word to get around about BNC’s expertise in tax work and soon they had a large base of clients in Mexico. With these clients came a slew of issues specific to international taxpayers. True to our claim of being a family business, in 2014 daughter Christie joined the firm in Mexico, having received a business degree with emphasis in entrepreneurship and accounting, and built her own group of accounting and tax clients. Cindy found another Enrolled Agent in Puerto Vallarta, David Wilson, and added him to the team so she was able to expand the tax business. In April of 2015 Christie moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands and established the European office there. With 8.5 million U.S. citizens living abroad, BNC Tax continues to grow. To date, the BNC Tax has provided service to clients in 14 countries and territories We take pride in the fact that 100% of our business has been developed on referrals, without any outside advertising. Word of mouth is key for our business.
