Most of the Bob Evans these days have been really disappointing, but not this one, not today. My family and I walked in and were promptly seated. After a few short minutes, our server came and took our drink orders, then quickly came back and took our order. Our food came out quickly and it was fresh and really good. I was really in need of some solid Bob Evans, and this location finally hit the spot! I'm gonna make the drive back one of these mornings just for breakfast. Great job!
I generally like Bob Evans and I generally do not review companies, but I was pretty disappointed today with this store. Not once did anyone stop by my table and ask how my food was, which was not good, nor did anyone refill my coffee or offer to refill my coffee. The food was amongst some of the lowest quality I have eaten at a BE. The hash browns were definitely overcooked, tasteless and dried out from waiting around on the griddle to serve them to someone. Essentially they were inedible. I ordered eggs over medium and they were cooked hard. The country fried steak was overyly crispy and old tasting as well. The little dab of gravy I was served seemed as though it was the scrapings of the pot and was completely congealed by the time it hit my table. All of this greatness for only $18 w/o tip. I ate as much as I could stand and did not complain to anyone because no one asked, remember. I finally got up to leave and stood at the register for a moment when a gentleman came to accept my money seemed to be either the owner or store manager by the way he was dressed. He didn't bother to ask me how my meal was either so I didn't offer. I decided at that point I would just write a review. I have eaten at that location before and had good food, but it is safe to say I do not plan to risk my money there again.
The one in Tipp City is pretty good. Wasn't super busy. Got seated quick. Clean place and good waitstaff. Got double blueberry pancakes and sausage. My husband got breakfast biscuits with gravy and hashbriwns, looked good! Mine was very good. We can never eat it all!Food: 5/5
I normally do not complain and rather just take my business elsewhere, but I just wanted to take some time to share my experience. Myself and my family a total of 6 went into this restaurant today excited about the down home cooking. I cannot comment on the food or service, but the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Our table was wet like it had been wiped down, but it stank and had LARGE amounts of caked up food egg yolks and gravy to be specific all over the table. The chairs had food dropped all over them, and the floors had an ungodly amount of food under the tables, which did get stepped on and smushed into the carpet. The energy was off with the staff and we did not feel welcomed. No one greeted us or seemed happy that we were there. The entire restaurant smelled like rotting food. We sat down and everything was so grimy and sticky… I wouldn’t have risked eating from there and we left without even ordering a drink. Off to Cracker Barrel we go! The reason I am writing this is because I know how expensive it can be to treat a large family to dinner out… and I want other families to know… this just was not somewhere I would EVER be comfortable eating at or having my children eat at. Kid-friendliness: Not good.
When we walked into the restaurant we got greeted by a scuff from the transgender and they said " how many" with a mean evil look. The place was empty and still took 5 minutes for a little booth. When we got seated it took them 10 minutes to get a waitress she was nice but with a place sk empty they had so many people on the clock. The entire time everybody back there was screaming and talking about really inappropriate stuff. When we got our food they said the chicken noodle soup was out when my dad and I got our food but my mom had to wait for another 15 minutes. My dad got the chicken breast meal his chicken was black as a black cat. This place has really went down hill I would never recommend it
We waited 15 minutes just for the waitress to come and get a drink order 10 minutes later she brought them, an hour later she brought our food out cold. We literally got up and walked out. It would have been different if they were busy but in NO way were they busy. We will never go back. We received a gift card as a wedding gift but it looks like I will re-gift this but I really don't want anyone else to have such a bad experience.
I didn't have anything negative to say until I went to checkout. While printing out my receipt, the man that checked me out proceeded to question if I left the tip at my table. I said no, and that I provided the tip on my card. He proceeded to tell me how disgraceful my tip was and that I am immoral for leaving that kind of tip. Normally, I try to leave a 20% tip, but, for personal reasons, today I was only able to do a 10% tip. I'm sorry that my tip came off as "immoral", but he has zero clue what my situation is, nor did I need him to publically try to humiliate me in front of the rest of my party. I called back later to explain what had happened to the manager. She said that she would speak with him and apologized, but I'm just not sure that's enough. No customer should be spoken to or treated in the manner that I was. There's simply no excuse for his actions. While I hope this is an isolated incident, if that man remains employed at this location then I highly recommend requesting the service of another employee that will treat you with respect.
Our server was great, she was very personable. The food was terrific! I got the roasted chicken cranberry pecan dinner salad.Food: 5/5
why would you put your chicken and noodle deep dish in a box? And not just put in a soup container and mash potatoes on the side….if you can’t close the box correctly maybe you should rethink how you package someone’s food. My chicken n noodle deep dish was all over my car. It was like the container was just thrown in….I guess next time if there even is a next time I’ll double check everything - also my banana bread was not cooked all the way….. so thanks… this location use to be so good!!
Good service and good. The gravy or the sausage patties were quite salty. I don't recall ever having a salty breakfast at Bob's.Food: 4/5
