Great people, great work. Fair, honest, helpful and friendly. Always do good work, always treat me right. Highly recommend!
We needed to bring 4 small vans into warehouse for equipment installations in it, and we do not have drive-up ramp to it, just loading docks. Bob's Sunoco was able to bring all 4 vans into warehouse in the matter of 25 minutes by loading vehicles on their flatbed towing truck with adjustable bed height and backing up to loading dock. Towing truck driver was very polite and experienced. Cost us $100. Great service and very reasonable price. We will be using them again today to take vehicles out of warehouse. Before we hired Bob's Sunoco for this job, we called two other towing places in the area and both were significantly more expensive. A+++ guys! keep it up!
The owner is a hack, he is a blatant a-hole to his customers, and cannot even change tires without checking the air pressure and not scraping up my wheels.... Why in God's name the VSP and/our Sheriff's dept. have a contract with this place is beyond me!! ‍
I was visiting Montpelier for a very short three day vacation. My car started making a rubbing sound very late on the first night of my visit. The next morning, I asked the hotel desk clerk for an auto repair recommendation. She immediately recommended Bob's Auto. I made a call at 8 am that morning and they told me to go on down. Bernie made a quick diagnosis and remedied the problem in a short amount of time for an honest price. He even pointed out areas under the car that I should have serviced when I got home. The anxiety of being an out of towner in need of a car repair was greatly reduced, thanks to these guys. I barely lost any time from my already short vacation because of the excellent service I received from Bob's Sunoco. Thanks guys!
I needed to have a toolbox towed about 5 miles to my home. I have had them do this in the past so I know that they have the proper nylon straps for tool boxes. The last two times the drivers refused to use straps and used hooks on the bottom of my toolbox which I am not okay with. The box was almost $11,000 new. This was the whole reason I specified nylon straps. The last time they towed it home last week they also refused to get out and look at the layout of my driveway and ended up getting the truck stuck and ruining my driveway and lawn in some spots as well as being unable to drop the toolbox into my garage as specified. We had to ruin all of my extra pieces of plywood I had saved for a project because they thought they could drop it in a gravel driveway, which is insane because they already knew that it would barely roll on pavement! Unfortunately they proved to me at least twice in the past that they can do this job professionally and properly but that was a long time ago. I know exactly what needs to be done because unfortunately I have moved this tool box a lot in the past four years. I don't really like to tell people how to do their job but this was again a truly miserable experience. Following a couple of simple instructions was all I really needed. Or if they just got out of the truck and let me take over once we got to my house everything would have been perfectly fine. As much as I like supporting them and local businesses I have to say that they completely dropped the ball this time. Oh and it took two days to get this done/scheduled. Sorry guys but you definitely get a one-star and I am being generous
These guys were great. I brought my car their for inspection and it failed because of a torn CV boot. They were totally cool with me taking the car back and attempting to do the repair myself. I ended up giving up because there was a bolt that i didn't want to break. I took it back to them with the part that i already purchased, the were fine with using it and only charged labor. I wouldn't expect this to be the case every time, because part of their, and everybody's business model, is to mark up some money on the parts, but they helped me out in a pinch. Also had Morse Auto down the street recommend them since Morse doesn't do inspections. I think they also service the county sheriff's vehicles, so they have a reputation to uphold.
I was in the middle of driving from Burlington to Maine, when suddenly the check engine light came on in my car. I decided to get off the highway and check it out in Montpelier, which is where I found this Sunoco station. Not only did the mechanics quickly diagnose the issue, but they fixed the problem in a matter of minutes while also remaining friendly the entire time. Plus, they didn't even charge a dime for the quick fix! I'd highly recommend Bob's Sunoco. Thanks for the job well done guys.
my car died across from cvh. after being in hospital 10 days i tracked my car down. bobs had i. they were very nice, not greedy strong armers like other towing companies id dealt with before. i would not only recommend bobs for towing but gas and minor mechanical work.
I called and spoke to Pam at Bob's. She was great while I was in crisis mode. They picked up my car and kept in touch throughout the entire process. Then a week later, I had another issue and the came to look at it while I was at work. Fantastic group of people over there! Call them, you will see for yourself!
I called AAA at 7am and they dispatched Bob's. I asked them to send a wrecker because our car was teetering over a bank after going off an icy road. The owner showed up a couple hours later in a pickup. He told me he'd have to have a wrecker, which I already knew, and said that he'd be back later, after he took care of some other calls. I called their shop several times but could never get an answer as to when they would show up, but they did tell me that I would have to pay cash because it was too difficult of a recovery for AAA. Finally at 12:30 I called LaRoche in Barre. They showed up 1/2 an hour later and got me right out, no problems. Maybe Bob's was right and they couldn't help us under AAA, but to just leave us there on the side of the road and never come back or communicate at all is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and call LaRoche.
