Hi, my name is Karen Howe Grant, creator and owner of Body & Energy. I began teaching aerobics in 1981 while still in college and discovered exercise improved my self-image and increased my productivity ten-fold. I received my Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in 1984 and created Body & Energy two years later as an exercise studio.
I later expanded the studio to include therapeutic massage. My experience has proven to me that focusing on my body through exercise and massage therapy can be a vehicle for self-improvement and inner growth. The challenge of maintaining our health is a lifelong commitment, but even the smallest effort toward this end can bring you immense rewards. By taking the step of caring for your body, you will have embarked on a journey that will touch much more than your physical being. In the spirit of health, I welcome you.
