I have been using Boelman Shaw for several years. I have a complicated return and appreciate the care and accuracy they provide. May not be the least expense, but well worth the cost.
Highly recommend! They were fast, professional, and found an error with our taxes from the previous year that a different company missed. We called back with some questions several months later and they answered promptly and are great to work with. Thank you!
They have the worst customer service ever. They claim they own the parking lot when they share it with other companies. They are rude, and I would never support their business because of this one verbally harassing transaction.
I was fortunate that when I met my husband, he was going to the same place Mr. Tax then and when we filed together for the first time, I went to Mary w/ him. She's amazing and I would follow her anywhere. I think the rate is a bit high, but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. We've never had any issues.
Prices are getting unreasonable. A family with W2's and a 1098 should not be a bare minimum of $400 that is insane!
Following their system for submitting documents, I was able to get my paperwork in order, my taxes squared away and explained to me in a manner I could understand.
This time not so good. Mr. Tax has done my mother's taxes for many years, however 2010 had some issues, and I cannot get a return call or email from the person I have been working with for over a year on this situation. I am still leaving messages and emails and no reply.
They've been doing my taxes for over a decade. They moved. My accountant retired. Still great service.
