My family and I love Dr. Boniadi. She is a very caring dentist and always checks in with you to make sure you are doing okay throughout the process. I have had a lot of work done with Dr. Boniadi throughout the years. Unfortunately I have moved out of state and miss going to Dr. Boniadi a lot! The first dentist I went to after leaving Socal did a horrible job. I needed some work done and my mouth didn't feel the same for 5-6 months after!! I never had this problem with Dr. Boniadi during the 10 or more years I was her patient. We miss her so much!
There's a type of helpless feeling that you get from the worst medical care places, and this is one of those places. I had a crown fall out on a Sunday night. My current insurance premier access has me assigned to this office so I had to go even though I knew it was trouble from the first phone call. I wasn't okay running around with a sensitive stump for a tooth while trying to figure out how to get re-assigned so I just sucked it up and took an appt with them. I had to jump through hoops to get a reliable appointment. They had me do the leg work of calling the insurance company to send the office proof that I was assigned to them as well as sending them a fee schedule. I've never had to do this at any other facility, they've always handled dealing with the insurance company. It involved getting both the office and insurance company on the line at the same time, follow up calls and emails. I had access to this information from the website but that wasnt good enough, they wanted it direct from the insurance company. They did 2 x-rays, and I brought them the fully in tact crown to cement back in, so there was very little done on their end. When I got there the girl doing the recementing told me a couple times that it might hurt b/c it was cold but didn't attempt to do anything for it. Just a patronizing "sorry" and went to work. She was the same one I'd been dealing with on the phone and at the front desk, and it was becoming clear to me that apathy was this girl's normal. The fee schedule that I pulled from my insurance website said it would cost nothing to have a crown re-cemented. They charged me $150. I asked to see an itemized invoice and the fee schedule they received and they refused to provide me one--no print out, no view screen, absolutley nothing in writing. That's insane. I work in accounts receivable, I know better, they never got my signature on any itemized list, I should have just walked out then and there but I was on the spot, overwhelmed, and didnt have time to think it through. In the end I paid $150 I most likely never owed, have a crown that feels slightly off, and had to find a new dentist. I cannot recommend against this office enough.
My dentist for years and my Whole families, they’re so nice here
