This Free Little Library features local authors, indie books and advanced releases!
Free Little Libraries is a grassroots movement that started in 2009 with a box shaped like a replica one-room schoolhouse that was filled with books to share with a neighbor. Soon more boxes were built and movement to share the love of reading with everyone began.
The great thing about Free Little Libraries is that you don't have a limit to the number of books you can take, there are no due dates, you don't even need to bring the books back! It's built on a community concept: take a book, leave a book.
We loved the idea as soon as we learned about it as a way to give back to the community. And we know Mechanicsburg residents LOVE to read! So we will aim to keep our little library full of fun surprises for everyone.
This will also be the first outside aesthetic project for our little abode that is getting a lot of much needed TLC.
