This was a surprise of the best kind. Very well done in all aspects in our lunchtime visit. The kitchen knows what it's doing; this restaurant is jammed with locals for obvious reasons. And the cheesecake is probably the best I've had outside Europe.
It is definitely worth the drive from Fulton! The food is amazing! Our waitress was very sweet! I love the Louisiana style food. They also have a fabulous dessert menu!
The food was too expensive to me, and had more spice than it was supposed to. And yes we asked before hand if it could be made without spiciness. They said yes. I will say the amount is worth the money. If you get a plate of something, but the sandwiches cost to much for their sizes.
Our server was great and the good was amazing. Born and raised in New Orleans so I'm always skeptical when a restaurant claims to be "Cajun", but they deffinitely lived up to the claim. Fantastic!! The redfish acadian was phenomenal. Tasted just like back home.
I had the club sandwich with fries and my wife had the seafood platter. My 3year old had spaghetti/ meatballs. Food was the best in Pontotoc. For sure I will be back. The waitresses Heather was very nice, sweet, friendly and new her job. The best place in Pontotoc to dine. 5 stars.
Not much flavor, the atmosphere an decor was absolutely stunning but the food i ordered wasn't tasty, however I'm not ready to count them out i want to try the shrimp an grits an fried green tomatoes.
Had shrimp & grits. Delicious. Shrimp, sausage and pepper in a creamy sauce. Grits topped with cheese. Was busy on Friday. Go early or be prepared to wait.
Tried the gator poboy... tasted like over cooked chicken strips with soggy tomato slices n one piece of romaine lettuce... the French roll was soaked in oil n butter... worse sandwich ever... not to mention fries weren’t seasoned n were gewey....definitely not worth $10... not even $5
Pontotoc is VERY lucky to have Boondocks Grill. In my opinion, it is the ONLY decent place to eat in Pontotoc. Once in a long while I get something less than superb. The vast majority of the time everything is excellent. I love good Cajun style cooking and am going to eat there tonight with my son. Looking forward to it.
Disappointed for the first time there. I had the blackened chicken Alfredo which lacked flavor with what looked like a anorexic sliced breast on top of overcooked penne. At $15 not a fair price/value. Not happy, but still a fan.
