Border Store

My Mother and I traveling from Wisconsin found this unique liquor store on our way to the Grand Canyon. We arrived before it opened and as we were sitting there figuring out what to do, this truck pulled up next to us and it turned out to be the owner. He told us he would open the store for us which he promptly did. Frank was a gentleman and very accommodating. It was a pleasure to listen to him tell us stories about his late mother Helen, and how she loved running her liquor store which has been in the family for over 40 years, and talking to all the people that come through. I would definitely encourage anyone in the area to stop by and say hi. Wouldn't want you to go thirsty. Thank you Frank. P.S the cherries are pretty good, wonder how the pickles are...

The people that run it are always great. It's not huge and they do have a decent selection of wine ladies

Friendly place with a good verity of products. Don’t blink or you will miss it as you are going North out of Arizona into Utah on hwy 89A, coming back from the North Rim, or headed to Zion or Lake Powell. Look on the right hand side of the road. They also sells local handicrafts and various “sale” items in the back. When you stop to take a Utah/Arizona border picture at the sign, look to your right and you won’t miss it. It will be an experience you want to take home with you. Don’t miss the Border Store for your favorite beverages and the chance to experience genuine local hospitality.

Thank goodness you are there! The only place to buy a wine in kanab. Well not really in kanab you have to cross the border about four miles out of kanab into Arizona. The man was so nice we appreciated his staying open a little later when we were there.

Frank, the person working this day, was very helpful, friendly, and even carried my purchase to the truck for me, so I would not have to make two trips. His prices are favorable for this area and the store is very clean. I shall return to do more business with The Border Store!!

If you need some liquor, come here! Not sure if they have every brand out there, but they surely have enough to get the job done. Prices seemed fair. Friendly fast service too.

Rustic, quintessentially western and friendly. Good selection of beer, seltzer, wine and a wide range of spirits at reasonable prices. Super easy 5 min drive from Kanab. Open until 9pm Utah time.

Selection is okay. Prices are higher than I'm used to. Staff was excellent, however.

Not a big selection, but have most things covered. Pricey, and to be expected as just over the border from Utah. Worker nice, humorous. Nice they are open on Sunday, & July 4. Most things closed around here Kanab/Fredonia, Utah. Of all the places to eat, only 2 restaurants open! Escobar's Mexican is Good!!
