To keep produce out of landfills and distribute that rescued produce to communities.
Borderlands Food Bank is able to rescue and distribute 40 million pounds of fresh produce each year. Our four programs are vital to the operation and vision of Borderlands, and allow us to remain connected to the needs of our community.
The mission of Borderlands is to rescue produce and in turn improve the quality of peoples lives, by addressing their most basic of needs – accessibility to nutritious fresh produce and living in a healthy environment.
Overtime, Borderlands has grown to providing fresh produce to not only those living within Arizona, but also those living in neighboring states, stretching as far south as Sonora, Mexico, and as far as 23 surrounding states in the U.S.
