We reach out to survivors of persecution and human rights violations who are entering a new life in the U.S. through the gateway of Boston.
Since BCRHHR opened its doors in 1998, we have served more than 1800 people from 90 countries worldwide. Through an innovative model of out-patient care, we provide comprehensive medical and mental health care, coordinated with legal and social services, to over 500 individuals from 70 different countries annually.
Our Mission is to provide holistic health care coordinated with social services and legal aid for asylum seekers, refugees, survivors of torture, and their families.
We also train professionals to serve this population, conduct research to understand and implement best-practices, and promote health and human rights, locally and globally, to improve the quality of life for survivors of torture and their communities.
