BOTE Retail Store - Ft Walton Beach

Matt was more than helpful when I first stopped in. We spoke about the different models and the needs they each fulfill. After about 20 minutes of talk about family and adventures, I really gained a lot of respect for him and the brand. Not once did any of the different conversations feel like sales pitches. Just honest opinions based on experiences. I returned a week later for the scratch and dent sale and caught an AMAZING deal with Justin on a bote flood and I find myself just staring at it thinking “I can’t believe she’s mine, what a beauty”. I can’t wait to go back and finish getting all the bells and whistles, not because they said I needed them, but because I genuinely had a good experience purchasing from them. They’re a locally founded brand, run by some great guys. I highly recommend at least a visit if you’re nearby.

Love the Bote brand, good products Although at the higher end of the price range you can’t beat the quality. My only complaint is when we visited the Ft Walton store, your salesman sucked…. I went to spend money but the salesman taunted me about the “deal” he was giving me lost me. I bought what I needed and left! Can’t salesman a salesman, learn to read your customer…

I ordered a bote board boteboard.com after hrs on a Thurs night. Paid $163 to get overnight shipping,shipped from ft Walton figuring I would receive it sat morning at the latest, so I would still be able to use it this wknd. Nope! It never showed up. .. FedEx tracking says Monday by 8pm not impressed with the service. . I realize once it leaves your shop/distribution center it is no longer in your control BUT... Don't sell me overnight shipping if you can't deliver! This better be a top-notch board. Update : I received a personal message from the company and they were very helpful and nice about looking into my complaint. The board is very awesome and my husband and i both enjoyed our trial run on it. A tip... get an electric pump. It takes awhile to blow up an 11.6 ft board, plus towards the end it pumps hard due to the inside pressure pressure gauge is on the pump also it doesn't come with a cord to attach to you leg. Would recommend this board.

Came in looking for an air pump for an inflatable wing and left with a freebie! I will be back later in the summer to buy a toy of some sort. Thank you!

My husband and I stopped by to learn more about paddle boards. Matt took great care and time in explaining the differences of inflatable vs solid, the various board types, what to look for, needed accessories btw, he didn't try to upsell us 100things, he said to start with the basics and grow and so much more. We can't thank him enough for his time and are now proud owners of some great boards. We'll definitely be stopping by to say hi as we are in the area. Matt was really helpful and not pushy at all. We stopped in and looked at a couple of Aero Chairs which we didn’t buy that day. Ended up coming back the next day and buying the couch. Great local store with really awesome staff, would recommend to anyone!

Delayed review but my google account was down. I came in to purchase a inflatable paddle board about a month ago and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this location and I forgot the name of the person that helped me.. I want to say a Mark or a Mike, but I could be wrong. He was extremely helpful and for everyone reading this.. GET THE ELECTRIC PUMP. It was worth every penny. I receive compliments on how nice it is and how some people payed a little less for one that was not BOTE brand and they have regretted it.

Love my board but I've had some warranty issues and needed a replacement handle for my paddle. Customer service has been utterly poor. I've had to contact them multiple times before getting any sort of response and to date I still don't have resolution.

I have called 7 times for a question about my $1000 SUP!! Both to the store and your website number. Left messages but no return calls. The last time I refused to leave message so I was on hold for over 20 minutes!! That's excessive. It's like your company dropped off the face of the earth! You take our money then vanish! No follow up support what so ever. I'm extremely disappointed in your company!!!

Went in just to learn more about SUPs and had a great talk with the manager at the store. Walked away having nearly decided to purchase a couple new boards for my wife and I, but was urged to come to the last demo day of the year the following Tuesday because, as we were told, you won't really know if you like the board until you ride it for a bit. We thanked the guy and went home to research. I called yesterday to make sure the 2 boards we were most interested in would be there and was told they would be. Today my wife and I headed down to the bay for the demo. 15 minutes after the meet-up time we called Bote to see where they were and were told the demo was cancelled for a photo shoot. We asked if they planned to reschedule and the lady said no, that we would have to wait until next summer. We told her we were planning to buy 2 boards bases on this demo. She remained polite, but informed us other surf shops won't let us demo either and tools us it was bad for them because they have to sell used boards. She then recommended boards based on our height/weight. Frustrating to take off early from work to have no more idea about how the boards suit us. Update: manager of the FWB store called to apologize and set up a private demo for us. He showed up to the demo 35 minutes late, but we loved the boards and ended up purchasing 2 from the very helpful people at their Destin store. Great boards, even at the higher price over competitors. It seems we caught them on a day with poor communication, but having to call in to see where they were again for the private demo being delayed keeps them at average service.
