On a quaint street in the heart of De Pere, a new women’s specialty store has just opened its doors. Flanked by other businesses catering to women’s needs, Boudoir fills the void of high-end lingerie. The new boutique, whose name translates as “a woman’s bedroom” in French, epitomizes its name.
Walk through the door of Boudoir, and you’ll be seduced into a space that is elegant, yet not overwhelmingly feminine. Moody grey walls are accentuated by white trim, and a glittering chandelier sets the entire room aglow. Light falls onto the black iron-pipe racks jutting from the walls, from which fine silk and lace lingerie pieces hang delicately. At the center of the room, a handmade wood table displays a collection of designer garters adorned with crystals and lace. The space is decorated with a vintage, yet modern, style.
Wander deeper into the store and drift by the large ivory drapes that open into a fitting area designed for comfort. Two velvet-upholstered chairs hug the curves of a small glass table and face two private fitting rooms. A vintage-style light hangs from above and fills the space with light. Crystal-adorned drapes conceal two fitting rooms, each complete with a large, black-framed mirror ready to reflect beauty into the face of a woman draped in seductive lingerie.
