Absolutely beautiful trail to run. The sage trail is about a 5k loop and branches out to other nearby trails as well. Perfect if you like seeing groundhogs and cows while you run by!
Great place for hiking or biking mellow easy pictures there are some more difficult sections but for the most part the main trail is easy
Fun gravel riding, not too crowded and lots of water options for dogs
This isn't really a "hiking" area so much as a walking one; there's not a lot of elevation change. That being said, it's an excellent area for running or walking with many different loops you can put together for variety. The main loop is fine, but the plateau offers better sights and a more "out of town" experience.
This was a nice hike in town. Contrary to typical Boulder hikes this trail allows you to see the front range mountains from a distance, which is definitely a plus. The hike was not challenging but this is ideal for mountain biking since it it's trails are wider than average. Parking lot is not very big so be aware of it
Great place to hike or bike. Decent variety of single track, double track, or service road. Some flat some steep and if you head upstairs, some really great views. Not much parking at the trailhead, so get there early. Lots of exposure, so the weather is ideal in spring and fall. Hit the like button below if you found this info valuable. Thanks.
Beautiful trail. Not a lot of people.
This 3 mile or so loop is a great place to walk, run or mountain bike. In spring the rolling green valley is spectacular. Add cattle and horses peacefully munching in the pastures and it's downright bucolic. As it gets hot in June, July and August the irrigation ditch about a mile in on the southwest side from the west parking lot as well as the lake at the halfway point from the same lot help cool off dogs. There's a robust coyote pack so be careful with your pups when hiking at dusk. Snakes are not uncommon, especially if you are on the trails off the loop on the south west side. The ridge offers some stellar mountain biking with an added dose of bull and rattlesnakes.
