I cannot say enough nice things about Bounds. They were the height of professionalism and very kind to my family. My mother left her body to science in Maryland, but died visiting family in Delaware, so we needed Bounds to retrieve her and take her across state lines. They didn't even charge us for everything they did for us, and they handled all the paperwork for getting her death certificates to us. I hope you never need their services, but when you do, call Bounds.

Bounds was exceptional in assisting us with my Fathers graveside service. We handled all arrangements by phone and couldn’t have asked for anything more from the staff. Melissa at Bounds Funeral Home has done an excellent job helping me with the cremation and transfer of my mother. I had a unique case as my mother purchased her cremation plan in her home state of California, but lived the remaining 5 years in Delaware where she could be closer to me. The staff was so helpful and patient! No arrangements had been made beforehand and we needed to have the funeral within a few days after our loved one passed. They took the extra time needed with us to ensure our loved one’s funeral honored his life and his friends and relatives’ memories of him. Their service went far above our expectations. Our brother was an artist and they helped us decorate the funeral home with his art. We told them we wanted visitors to be able to take any of his art they wanted with them but they surprised us by framing the picture we included in the service card for visitors to take. The obituary picture included sunflowers in the background and at the viewing, They provided cookies and brownies in the shape of a sunflower! We highly recommend Bounds Funeral Home to anyone who needs their service.
