Cool but steep & sketchy right off of Bouquet cyn. Has to park really quick on a turnout, wasn't feeling adventurous enough to go down..
A small beautiful place to go. Very steep to get down you have to be very careful, but beautiful. My kids loved it!!!!Recommended activitiesHikingParking spaceNot sureParking optionsFree street parking
It's a beautiful setting, but it's right off the main road and you have to really be driving slow so you don't miss it. The pictures make it seem like its a huge waterfall, and it's probably no more than 10' tall..
Beautiful and relaxing place to take my kids.
Super short, fun and nice hike featuring 2 waterfalls. Gate to the parking lot is closed and must find parking on the road. Park Rangers dig a great job cleaning up the graffiti posted on boulders. Trail is clean and it's kids friendly and dogs must be on a leash. Don't leave litter behind. Pack in and pack out. Leave no trace! And please please don't brake your beer bottles.
Preview for February 6th 2022. Bouquet Falls is located in Santa Clarita. It's about 30 minute drive from Palmdale and maybe another 30 minutes from Santa Clarita. It is nearby Bouquet Reservoir. There's really no hiking to the waterfall. Literally, as soon as you park you can take a few steps down and the waterfall is there. The nice thing about this waterfall is that the water flows year round. It is open to the public so everyone is welcome to visit this wonderful place. Perfect spot within the Los Angeles Forest. Nice spot to relax or chill or meditate. Also nice for picnics or some quiet time. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely love the outdoors.
The original parking area has been abandoned what looks like decades ago. There are large trees that have fallen onto the roadway and such. Los Angeles county needs to go and clean off the dirt that flowed over the acces road so that vehicles can drive further into the parking area. There were the remnants of water spouts to provide drinking water for your animals, they needs to be repaired. The graffiti on the rocks was expected, but the vulgar language and pictures are not for children. Be prepared to climb and hike up and down rugged terrain in places. The main trail is only like half a mile, but the climb will make you think it was 5 miles. The falls and rapids are nice to see and the dogs loved the water to play in. There were a few "homeless" camps that the County should make move out of the area. Especially when the "homeless occupants" are "bathing" in the water up stream from the falls. Never saw any wild animals to need to worry about. If I need to clarify, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER. The kids wantnto come back again and spend more time hiking around to see what's there. It would be nice to see something that explains the history of the area and even other places local to visit. Parking: There are only about 10 parking spots. Restrooms: There are no restroooms. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash.
The parking entrance is on the left about 1/2 mile before google maps will take you to your destination. The easy 'hike' is a 5/7 leisurely stroll from the parking lot through graffiti, trash and broken glass. There's no cell phone service so pay attention to how you get there so you can find your way out. However there are a Ton of WAY better waterfalls and hikes
Actually a nice Instagram-style location. Sadly ruined by graffiti NOT the artsy ones! and trashed by dumb people. Still, if you know how to, you'll get great pictures out of it and can enjoy nature.Recommended activitiesWalking, Birdwatching
