Bourbon Street Bar and Grill

I love Bourbon Street. As a matter of fact I am writing this because I was looking it up on the hopes I travel back to Texas City soon for whatever reason just to go eat there again. My friends and I who used to work in the plants there used to order from BS when we wanted a real home-cooked meal. The thing is, it's a bar, and they only have if I remember correctly two entrees on any week day, plus whatever sides they are offering, but most of it is really great! And we always got it take out and yes it can take a while to fix so you just order and they tell you it'll be 15 or 20 or 30 mins. They can get very busy around lunch. Their meatloaf and gravy is absolutely out of this world. A warning, their food is very rich, lots of butter, etc. But if you're willing to gain a few pounds, try it. Their sides are very homemade and delicious also. Mashed potatoes, blackeyed peas. Mmmmm.

The lady who walks with a limp is rude Af which is completely unnecessary. I understand the job of taking orders can be overwhelming at at times but if you're running a business then people are going to hold you to a higher standard in regards of professionalism. The food was alright but that attitude needs an adjustment.

Nice serving portions and great tasting food. real friendly staff. Only problem I got is the owner has a secret stash of dishes and recipes she experiments with that she won't release on the menu. tried the cauliflower crust pizza and it was unreal!!

Nice bar. It's a BYOB place. The wings are delicious but I didn't care for the fish. The fish was fried to soft and I didn't enjoy it. Had fun at this place

The chicken wings were awesome as always. Every Friday.

I love it. Bubba is a awesome host. The wings are THE BEST! The music is old school whit a little mix of current stuff. It's a fun atmosphere. Please hurry up and get back open

The price is right, the food is fantastic and the staff is top notch. If you want that home cooked meal away from home this is where you go. Doesnt matter whats on the menu for the day, its gonna be done just the way grandma used to make it.
