Placing emphasis on a simple beauty routine, Milligan ― with 16 years in the beauty business under her belt ― designed boxx cosmetics. Its central item is, quite literally, “the boxx” ― an easily-portable and reusable compact. The luxurious silver boxx, with its top mirror and magnetic base, affords numerous mix and match options. The user is able to customize the compact with what suits individual needs, be it day versus night, seasonality, travel, or any of the numerous ever-evolving patterns of life.
Milligan lives by the maxim, “Looking your best shouldn’t compromise who you are.” It follows that boxx cosmetics products work to enhance natural beauty, not mask it.
The 75 + professional-quality cosmetics products ― all Canadian-made, all paraben- and formaldehyde-free, and many of them multi-use (think: lip colour as cheek colour, or cream corrector as primer) ― are accessibly-priced. Similarly, the 15 accessories, including the uniquely designed boxx, the milli boxx (a smaller compact), brushes and brush case, are very affordable. Prices range from $12.00 +(in Canadian dollars).
“When I began development of this line five years ago, I wanted to ensure it would offer customers everything they needed to look naturally beautiful, without the fuss of carrying multiple products, and without having to spend a fortune,” says Milligan, Founder and Creative Director, boxx cosmetics. “I was also focused on minimizing waste, by reducing and eliminating the need to buy pre-determined sets with elements the consumer never uses.”
Practicality and environmental awareness are emphasized with boxx cosmetics. All cosmetics products are sold in reusable clamshells designed to store products that aren’t being used in the compact.
