The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica provides recreational, educational and social development programs at our Main Club at 19 Campbell Road and in after-school sites located at the 6 elementary schools in Billerica. The Club also offers a summer day camp program held at the Main Club.
Membership is $30/year and is open to boys & girls between the ages of 8 and 17. This membership allows youths to participate in any of our programs. Payment plans and financial aid are available for those who cannot afford the cost of membership.
The Club is a local affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America - the nation's oldest and largest organization with a primary mission of service to youth from at-risk circumstances. With more than 4,000 local clubs in all fifty states, more than 4.8 million children are served annually by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
By reaching children at an early age and providing positive activities and encouragement, our Club provides a compelling alternative to youth crime, gang membership, drugs, and other negative influences that effect our youth today.
Our Club programs promote the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, influence and belonging. When this strategy is fully implemented, self-esteem is enhanced and an environment is created which helps our members achieve their full potential. Additionally, our members learn to:
- Enjoy their interests
- Nurture their talents
- Dissolve their prejudices
- Express their personality
- Develop friendships
- Build self esteem
- Contribute to society
- Achieve personal success
