Bradford is a college preparatory school that is committed to academic excellence, nurturing personal relationships, and inspiring a growing passion for creativity and learning in all of our students.
In the spring of 2012, the founders of Bradford Prep began discussing the need for a school in this area that could challenge each student academically while also addressing their social, emotional and physical needs. After many months of research and planning, they saw that there is both a great need and a clear desire for a K-12 charter school in the northeast area of Charlotte, NC. They began the process of meeting with parents and community members in the summer and in September 2012, the Bradford Preparatory School Board of Directors met for the first time.
Since opening in August 2014, Bradford Prep has grown to serve grades K-11 and will become a K-12 school in the 2018-19 academic year.
Bradford Preparatory School is committed to ensuring academic excellence, fostering creativity, nurturing human relationships, and inspiring a growing passion for learning in all of our students. While encouraging our students to take personal responsibility for their future, we will support them in their development of life skills and encourage them to become caring and productive citizens.
