The plans for a remodel have been announced. If and when it happens, it will become an outdoor shopping center as the days of Malls are long gone. They have spruced up the property and closed off the interior of the mall from what I understand.
Needs more stores. This place use to have a lot of business. We need to see what we can do to get more merchants in the mall. Our town needs the finances. I worked in this building years ago. I was a Manager at Dollar Tree, when it was in this mall but the supervisor Bob, discriminated not just against me but against other females also. And he discriminated against the male that worked there also. It was not a color issue or gender issue..I put my two weeks notice in after I fell in a large hole in the storage room. Several managers put in a request for it to be fixed. A few of them also tripped in the same hole. But, Dollar Tree was in the process of changing location to the place that it is in now...So, insurance did pay for me to go to the emergency room. I was pregnant with my daughter Selena at the the time. Instead of creating a big issue, I put in my two weeks notice.
This mall has very few stores left inside. There are only two or three left. An inbound calling center has moved into several of the old, empty stores and continues to grow. JC Penney and Peebles and I think Bath and Body Works are the only stores left.
Was there to see the Great American Solar Eclipse
There's really nothing to do there but go to Dollar Tree and the Movie Theatre. I mean come on guys... Ya gotta get this Parking Lot ALIVE Again! When Yu redo this parking lot with yur Multi-Million Dollar Blue Prints... Add in some businesses that will bring in business and also an ENTERTAINING ENTERTAINMENT CENTER PART.
This place was once a big part of Hopkinsville, people use to come here and walk for exercise and shop at the various stores we had. Get pictures with Santa, and the Easter Bunny. But now, JCPenneys is closing, probably will be closed by the time you read this, they shut down the complete middle section of the mall, so no walking or going to other parts of the store. There are now a few stores left in the entire mall, including, Gordmans, Hibbett Sports, and one other I can't remember. Popeyes is currently building in the parking lot of JCPenneys so hopefully that can give somebody the drive to make a much needed comeback for the mall of Hopkinsville!
A few stores. Mostly dying as a shopping center. Not sure why it has been neglected. New owners have been upgrading and trying to revive it. But new buildings and retail centers in the area are quickly trying to secure all the business.
There is absolutely nothing at this "mall" that is worth my time. About 3 stores total and you can't even access the inside of the "mall" anymore. I had such high hopes when they started making improvements, too...
For a small shopping mall, it’s always quite busy especially at dollar tree but I think they can use more sit down restaurants in hop town instead of people always running to clarksville Tennessee to eat
Perfect to do your Christmas shopping if all your Christmas shopping can be done at JC Penney, Pebbles, and Bath And Body Works. Short lines, quiet, no crowds. I love it!!!
