The Braintree Historical Society was established to preserve, interpret and share the unique history of Braintree, Vermont.
The society maintains the Braintree Hill Meetinghouse, erected by the Congregational Society in 1845. A museum on the ground floor contains 19th-century farm tools, domestic paraphernalia, town memorabilia, photographs, manuscript materials, and school records. Activities include Old Home Day (1st Sunday in August) and special programs.
Hours and Admission: by appointment and during scheduled events. Free. Access to the museum room is via two steps down.
