Brantford Home Hardware

In my hometown all we had was a Home Hardware. I even bought music and clothes their back in the day. Home Hardware still has a wide diversity of products and services.You can get water on the outside and inside of the store for potable purposes. The prices are reasonable and it's a busy place. Stories very clean and they're definitely following covid guidelines.

Buyer Be Aware All Home Hardware Are NOT the Same I went to the Home Hardware at 10 King George, Brantford to pick up me free can of paint as I had completed the purchase of 6 cans and the 7th was free. I walked in with the last can of paint that I bought so that they can match the same colour. Was initially attended to by a lady who was pleasant. I gave her my cards with the stamps that qualifies the free can. She went on to get the paint. Another female stepped in and assisted her with the mixing while the stamped cards were visibly placed on the table. When it was time to get the paint the second lady said that although I had bought 5 paint cans from their store, because I bought the 6th can from another Home Hardware in Brantford, she could not honour the free can. Her words “why should I give you a free can, when you only bought 5 cans from me and the 6th one from another Home Hardware in Brantford”. She than got upset with me and explicitly became rude when I declined to purchase the paint. She was clearly a supervisor, manager or owner because I doubt an employee would so blatantly humiliate a customer in front of their colleague. As a customer who has been going to this store for the last 20 years, I walked away humiliated & shocked and speechless. Until that point, in the 5 times I was at this same store or the 6th time at the other store not once did anyone state that the paint should be bought at the same store to qualify for the free can. I was under the impression I was buying my paint from Home Hardware. I was not aware that the stores were so divided that the franchisee would decline an offer that is at every Home Hardware. As a business owner who could clearly see that I bought the 5 cans from you, and only one can from another store in Brantford, would you not value your customer and honour the promotion. Are all the Brantford Home Hardware stores so individualized, that you can not mix and match and buy from the them the same way, Home Depot, LOWES, RONA does with its customers. I guess buyer beware. I will certainly forward this email to BeautiTone.

Only once I found what I needed in that store...all the other visits were just a waste of time....They do not stock much...always the same answer... 'we can order it for you'.....people go to store because they need certain items 'now'...otherwise I can order stuff online too and wait a week or 3 for the delivery?!... I will not go to that store again....

What's to say? Home Hardware businesses are historically one of the best "local institutions" in their surrounding areas and this one is no different. Friendly staff and a cute store. Retail cooperatives can be a welcome change of pace from larger corporate competition if you ask me.

Home of the handy person. Very helpful staff. Products asked to be placed aside were and found very easily by staff.

Great service, I recommend this location for all your needs, the staff have great product knowledge and will go out of there way to help you. They treat you as family and this starts from the top owner and it works it’s way down to rest of the staff. My latest purchase was a Pit Boss Smoker/BBQ and the help I got was awesome!!! 5 THUMBS UP for the GREAT service!!
