Bread and Circuses Bistro and Bar

I ordered the crab dip to carry out, and not only was the container small, the container was half empty. With the rise of prices and inflation, quality and customer service at this restaurant is certainly declining. I see why people are deciding to eat at home, and this experience was very unfortunate and disappointing. Don’t waste your time at this restaurant, they are scamming patrons with their portion sizes. I wish I could provide them zero out of five stars.

Definitely recommend. Beautiful outside dining. Great food. Nice waiter. Good prices. I’ll definitely be coming back when I came back to MD.

I arrived at Bread & Circuses at the right time! Only one person at the bar! It was 3pm & everything was still open for business! I got a glass of Pinot Grigio & 2 appetizers. One was the deviled eggs green eggs and ham, these were so amazing! The other appetizer was the Big Mac... Yes! Mango, avocado, lump crab meat ... OMG!! Very very good! The bartender had such a great personality it made the entire experience excellent! Great job everyone & I'll bring friends next time!! Parking: It's a paid lot about 50 spaces

The evening started great! We arrived early, got seated quickly, and ordered drinks and food. Drinks and appetizers came promptly, then...nothing for over a long time, and beyond.... Apparently the lead chef left early due to illness, and the rest of the staff couldn't get meals out for far too long. The dishes tasted good, fish a little overdone. We just couldn't be bothered with dessert. This has been a favorite restaurant for years, but we'll proceed with caution. Waiter did best she could: comped our drinks, [kitchen should pay her back. ] She knew we were disappointed. We still left a decent tip on the whole check.

Must have had an off day, our server was more interested in her phone than greeting us. Water stained cutlery, which was wrapped up wrong knife facing me, fork facing away… Food was fine, nothing good nothing bad. Won’t return :/Food: 3/5

Delicious food, pleasant service, and lovely outdoor seating area. Loved the mushroom ravioli.

Just got finished with our dinner here and everything was outstanding. I would highly recommend if you are interested in good food and drinks to definitely stop by and give them a try. The steak and truffle fries were prepared perfectly. The drinks were really good as well. We will definitely be visiting again. P.S The website did not seem to work well at all from my experience, if you are looking to update that I do know a freelance marketer that specializes in that field as well as advertising and would be happy to assist. This was my first time visiting the establishment, I was excited to go, however the food was disappointing ! I asked for the strawberry fields forever cheese french toast, not sure what I was given see photos. I asked for my eggs to be fried hard, they were not, the yoke was still runny. My friend was not impressed either with her meal. My drink was good,.... Parking: You have to pay for parking

Fantastic food, wait time was a little long. We probably waited around 25 mins. I got a cheese burger and my gf got waffle w/ chicken. Once we got everything we ate it in about 10 mins because it was so good.Recommended dishesChicken and Waffles

What you will see here is the truth and nothing but the truth. My husband decided to take me out for dinner on a Saturday night. We didn't know what to expect since this was our first time dining here. Upon entry, we noticed that this small restaurant was packed and anticipated to wait to be seated. On the contrary, the young hostess advised that table was available since the other party left amd was set up. The last party was served water and bread before leaving... umm I informed the hostess I hope we will be served fresh water, but she stormed off. So I went to the bar and expressed my feelings over the hostess behavior and asked for fresh items. No one wants to drink or eat something that was breathed on by others. At this point, the table was cleared and we were only served fresh water and new glasses, but no bread. I am not upset about it; but would've loved to experience the service. We got to glance at the menu, and after undisclosed minutes a server came and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Hubby ordered an Ouzo, for me I was I was happy with the water. After the drink was served we still were looking at the menu trying to figure out what to order. But it took the sever nearly over 10 minutes or longer to come back to check on us to see if we were ready to order. When she did come we placed our order. Hubby ordered the mussels for an appetizer. For his entree, he ordered the Steak Frites and I had the Expresso Rubbed NY Strip which came with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. The wait for our entrées took nearly 45 minutes to be served. Before our food was served, we watched most of the servers enjoy themselves entertain their friends and family, including the cooks and hostesses take selfies while working. During the wait, we could smell cigarette smoke. At first we thought it was coming from inside, but it was from the patrons who stepped outside the opened door which was not far from our table. The smoke blew inside and started to make me sick. At that point we were so ready to leave. Overall the steaks were cooked to our satisfaction. The mashed sweet potatoes were not my favorite, so I just chowed down on the steak and green beans. Hubby said the fries were too salty. Over all I would average give the food 3 stars, but service 2 stars. My husband said, I guess we have to be friends or family of the staff to get quick service and impeccable service. A party that was seated after we were served got everything in seconds. We watched the server and the party spend over 5 minutes chit chatting and scrolling through photos. I was willing to give this place another shot, but hubby was like there is no way we will return back.
