The organization serves as a change agent in the African Diaspora with efforts to connect cultures. We place emphasis on communities from East Africa but interact and impact all African communities. Breaking Barriers serves and consists of African youth and adults across the globe.
Mission: To connect and strengthen multiple African communities through group discussions on challenging experiences within our society and identify solutions for common challenges to develop one another. Additionally, provide members with valuable resources which shall serve as key ingredients to unlock their fullest potential.
Vision: Create a sustainable African network that uplifts African communities in various countries through encouraging individuals to take ownership towards the development of their people in order to experience positive change educationally, professionally and financially.

"Breaking Barriers" is Two Fold:
1. It serves as a mentorship/peer development program. Where self-selected mentors in Ugandan communities provide guidance and resource support to Mentee's to foster growth: personally, educationally and professionally.
2.It hosts a series of open forum event discussion and provides networking opportunities. Each discussion has an emphasis on a specific theme relevant to the three pillars of the organization: Networking, Education and Personal Development.
