Wonderful campground/resort. Stayed there for a week in July. Mostly seasonal but some tent and camper sites. Don was wonderful. Helped me back my camper in a tight spot, got some boards and blocks for setup. Pool and boats available. Lot of areas to visit and explore nearby. Would definitely go there again.
I don’t have words to explain how happy my family and I were in finding and staying in this rv park. We were initially supposed to stay for a few months. We decided to stay longer. Employees and staff were awesome. Front office girl “Mel” such a sweetheart. Always going the extra mile to help you. Location is great. Super clean and really quiet. Can enjoy a good sit outside and enjoy the trees. Will definitely recommend and will most certainly come back!!
Lots are level. Hookups are decent and all of them are available. Pool was small but good enough for a quick splash. Mel was super helpful during check in and offering recommendations for the local area.Rooms: 4/5
If your looking for a spot to winter over this could be the spot for you. It is crowded, but as a solo nomad I find it refreshing to be in a community setting from time to time. Big clubhouse with a full kitchen and full size pool table with all kinds of events like fish fries, chilli cook offs, live music, bingo, karaoke and more. I am not into public swimming pools but they have one that is very nice and well maintained. Individual mail boxes to transfer your mail service to and of course package delivery in the library. Located 20min. from the SpaceX launch pad on Boca Chica Beach which you can drive on and allows dogs. Also South Padre Island which is like Daytona Beach on steriods. Monthly rates are O.K. but with location and amenities a fairly good deal. Thinking of making this my winter home!
This was our first time visiting the Brownsville area. We came down with two other couples to escape the winter in the Midwest. We really enjoyed the park. Everyone staying at the park was extremely nice and very helpful. It was nice to have full 50 amp hookups and a small cement pad for our patio. The park isn’t very big but they have a ton of activities to do during the week. Our camper was closer to the road so we did notice some traffics noise but if we ran our air conditioner fan at night we didn’t hear it. The pool area was nice the pool is heated. They had garbage cans around the grounds to dispose of pet waste. If you are looking for a $250,000 Rv site for your brand new class A motor home this may not be the park for you. But if you are looking for a park where everyone is super friendly, reasonably priced and located close to south padre island this would be the place to stay.
Prices are great, staff is awesome, sites are clean. They pick up our garbage everyday except Sunday, have a pool and rec hall. During winter Texan season there are a lot of activities... all of this with the added bonus of being about 25 miles from south padre Island. Awesome place!
My wife and I recently stayed at Breeze Lake Campground while exploring the Brownsville and South Padre Island area. The staff and “Winter Texans” we met were all super friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed attending a Halloween Party and church service in the park. We made use of the pool and laundry facilities which are very nice and well kept. Thanks Mel, Scotty and new friends for the great hospitality! We will definitely stay here again on any future trips to the area.
We can’t say enough good things about Breeze Lake! By FAR the most welcoming park we’ve stayed at! Every single person here from the staff to the other rvers were so helpful and kind to us. There is a gorgeous heated pool open year round surrounded by palm trees and banana trees. For how inexpensive it is we weren’t expecting much but honestly were blown away by how nice this place is! There are social events, dinners, donut day, etc. We loved it so much we extended our stay to 2 months! I can’t find a single negative thing about Breeze Lake. Not sure why anyone would winter in Florida when Brownsville has the same beautiful weather and palm trees for a tiny fraction of the price. We can’t wait to return next winter!
What’s not to love water and palm trees and the best residents and guests
We had a lovely experience at Breeze Lake. The campground is delightful, with a tropical vibe and well taken care of. Restrooms are spacious and clean. Mel was very helpful and friendly! We enjoyed morning tea by the resaca and the many amenities including a refreshing pool, large library and other outdoor games. We would definitely stay again!
