It's a smaller grocery store, but they have great discounts on certain items. I noticed a particular rice brand on sale, priced $5 lower than other stores. Unlike elsewhere, this store doesn't impose purchase limits during sales. I visited on a quiet weekday, an hour before closing, and the store was not crowded. It's tidy, but you'll need a coin for a shopping cart.
Feels a little sketchy sometimes. Some good prices. Very yellow inside haha. Always busy when I’ve been here. Lines are usually long. Decent prices. Has added more vegan items over the years which is nice. Lots of parking. You need coins for using the carts.
Very frequently doesn't have the major sales items listed in the flyer. It's like keeping stock on items people come to their store for is a Frill. I also noticed lately they haven't been rewarding any PC Optimum points for my purchases. I've been driving an extra five minutes to Food Basics fairly often because they almost always have the sales items in their flyer in stock and just generally have more selection. From now on I'm only shopping at this No Frills if I really, really need a PC product. Otherwise, the extra drive to Food Basics is more than worth it.
The prices and food quality are good. Customer service and staffing issues are the problem here. The store is extremely busy in the evenings and there is no room in the aisles without running into other customers or staff stocking shelves. They only have 2 registers open, and have to call for support to over ride which causes more back log. You can’t use self serve lines if you have a cart, so you’re stuck in a line for a backed up cashier that blocks aisles. Packing up groceries is a nightmare. You have no room to park your cart without people being blocked in somehow and are rushed to pack. The male staff who stock shelves are extremely rude and don’t know where items are. One male in particular was making comments about customers as they walked past. The prices are great, but honestly they need more staff to Help at cash and remind other employees to stop being creepy.
Not a big location, my likely incorrect guess would put it at least 30% smaller than the Cambridge store. But despite being busy at mid-afternoon on Saturday it didn't feel crowded. Store was clean and shelves were well stocked. Appeared to have all the weekly sale items in stock, and international selection was commiserate with store size. All registers appeared open, moved quickly, and staff all appeared friendly.
Produce is well stocked and fresh. Specials are everywhere, and you earn points if you are a PC Optimum account holder. With the rising cost of everything, the points come in very handy. The prices in this store are exceptional as compared to other local stores. You can choose to scan your own groceries or have done for you. The store is always well stocked and cleanliness is top notch. I will drive past other stores to get to NOFRILLS at 700 Strasburg Rd. Kitchener
Small grocery store, not too busy, not much choices for the produce product but I got mostly of the stuff on my list which I think is good. The cashier was nice and approachable when I went.
There was a small fire today when I was there. Staff was not great on responding and evaluating us. I was able to return after and buy my groceries. Management might want to refresh fire evacuation policy. This is important stuff
I was super annoyed that I could not take my cart through the self checkout. All checkouts were available and all the cashiers, two, were lined up. Basically I was being told that I would shoplift if I brought my cart through. If you are not going to let customers with carts go through the self checkout, may I suggest that you have more registers open or train your self checkout staff better to observe customers.
I would like to bring to your attention the poor treatment I received from Divya 356 at your location. While I was rushing to pack my items she kept pressing the button even when my stuff was at the end almost pushing my products to the ground. The persons who were before me took their time to pack their stuff and I had to wait my turn so I am confused as to why she was hurrying me even though I was moving fast. Also there was another section where she could have placed the other customer’s items each cashier have to platforms to accommodate customers for packing their items. Please advise her to treat ALL customers with respect as money have the same COLOUR. I work too hard for my money to be spending it in a place where am being treated like this.Thanks.
