My coworkers and I have lunch there. It's quick, the food is good, and it's close to our job. We go there pretty much every week. The employees are friendly and the price is not too bad. The food portions are a good size too. There hasn’t been a time where the food wasn’t great! Only thing I wish they had better parking but it’s not a deal breaker. We will continue to eat there weekly
We tried one of everything and while it was all delicious--you gotta try the baked potato with meat! It was SO GOOD. Brisket sandwich with coleslaw so scrumptious I could have eaten 3 cups on top was incredible. So glad we stopped. Service was top notch, too. Price was affordable. No complaints!Food: 5/5
A pretty good place for barbeque. Friendly staff. Decent selection of meats with good flavor. An easy stop if you are heading back to Houston from one of the nearby beaches. I enjoyed the pork sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad as a take out order. I would have liked a little more sauce on the sandwich or on the side, but that is really a personal preference, otherwise everything was great.
I have eaten at Brian's Bar-B-Q multiple times over the years. However the past few times I have eaten there it seems like they have cut back on the portions or out of food they are serving. This last time was the worst. My brother and I dined in. We had the two meat plate. I chose brisket and sausage and he had ribs and sausage. Surprised they had ribs since they are usually out. I received four pieces of brisket that were about two and half inches long with eight sausage slices along with a very small serving of potato salad. Beans were the right serving size. My brother received two small ribs and eight sausage slices along with small portion of potato salad like I received. I truly feel like I paid $37.00 for two small child plates, since it took only three bites to eat the small portions of brisket and potato salad. Also the staff talks openly about issues with work and their private lives in front of customers. Which is never a good look for a business. During this visit our table felt greasy and had crumbs on it that we had to wipe off with a napkin since the other tables felt greasy also.
The brisket was dry i was expecting juicy with a ton of flavor. Out of 2 ribs half of one wasnt over cooked. It was more like jerky. The potato salad wasnt good. I had hopes for this place cause it is close. I may try again in a few, hopefully it was just an off day. The staff seemed nice.
2 chopped beef sandwich plates, 2 extra chopped beef sandwiches and a 1 meat plate or brisket with potato salad and green beans. All excellent as always.Food: 5/5
Buffet style ordering. This place knows what BBQ is all about. Excellent food without nonsense. Don't expect a fancy place, but rather a meal that will satisfy all the way. Loaded baked potato and the brisket are much recommended!Food: 5/5
Brisket dry and tasteless...sausage only fair.....rib was tasty.....potato salad was to sour....coleslaw was good..... bar b q sause had so much vinegar in it I asked if they were from the carolinas....they love sour...will not be back.Food: 1/5
It's not often that I'm left feeling utterly disappointed by a restaurant. However, my recent experience here has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. To begin with, the brisket meat I was served appeared to be days old and had lost all of its flavor. It lacked any tenderness that you would expect from barbecue. The pork ribs were equally disappointing, badly seasoned and excessively salty, making it almost impossible to enjoy. The barbecue sauce was watery and lacked any real depth of flavor, failing to complement the meats in any way. The baked potato was bland and drowning in an excessive amount of butter that overpowered any subtle flavors it might have had. But it wasn't just the food that let me down; the behavior of the staff was appalling. I witnessed a young employee having a visible attitude with other members of the team, and speaking badly about a customer within earshot of other diners. Although, I am indifferent to cursing her added statement: “I’m not going to serve that again” while visibly rolling her eyes was awful to bear witness to, when you work in food service you will repeat actions and if you wish to complain don’t do it loudly. It was an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience and I was only witness to this! To top it all off, the tables were left greasy and dirty, with no routine cleaning in sight. The whole experience was a let-down, and I can't help but feel that the owner is visibly failing to manage their employees, maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness and provide fresh food within the restaurant. Overall, I cannot in good conscious recommend this place to anyone. It's a shame to see a potentially great restaurant fall so far short of expectations, perhaps years ago it lived to a reputation but today I witnessed a failure of a restaurant. When you disrespect your customers you disrespect your own success. A restaurant that forgets its customers will only be subjected to losing them, and the “quirky” decorations inside are not a “reminder” or “threat” to customers but perhaps a sign of overcompensation from a restaurant who has forgotten who they own everything to.
I've been coming here for years. Covid didn't change a thing. The staff is always nice, the food taste the same.Food: 4/5
