Outside is a little bit wild area, nothing beautiful to see, but the nature Center is nice. Some interesting stuff for kids and birds-learning place is available
It was our very 1st trip here. It was a gorgeous day. The lady who volunteers there was with her son and they were feeding owls & the red hawk too. We got to see them eat their lunch outdoor in their pens. Then, we saw the animals inside too. We saw a skunk, dwarf rabbit, box turtles, a fresh water turtle too, masagargar hissing cockroaches, and various other animals too. It was such a nice place to visit.. We will go back again to visit. Please see attached pics.. Great staff too..
Amazing place! Quiet nature preserve in the middle of the suburbs. Perfect place to bring children.
Cute place with indoor animals in cages, including a skunk, possum, rats, snakes, bugs, etc. Classroom space as well. Outdoor wooded trail, frog pond, and natural playground under construction. Every thing is perfect The employees very nice The place safe and nice I will keep going
Great place to take the kids for an hour or two. Bird viewing house is terrific with great activities. My kids loved finding all the birds out the windows. Pond is also great--saw lots of frogs, turtles, and other wildlife. The playscape is a good stop with its sandbox and arches for the kids to climb around. Lots of photo opportunities. I'm sad to say I never knew about Briar Bush before but now I'm glad I do! We will be back.
What a neat little oasis in the middle of Abington. Their red tailed hawk was being fed when I stopped by for a much needed respite from the day's events. It's amazing how a walk in the woods will help you remember what's important in life. Lovely paths meander the property. If you keep to the perimeter you'll discover, toward the bottom of the hill, the pond and all its splendor.
Been visiting briar bush since i was a child. One of my favorite places to take my own children
Cute little enclave to get away from the usual routine. Not really a destination but its okay for a coffee and a walk if you're in the area.
We came here on Sunday.Unfortunately, everything was closed. The nature center looked interesting with trails winding up and down.We saw some nice birds and birds nesting in an electric pole.At the entrance the red-tailed hawk looked pretty lonely and sad. I would suggest the bird needs a higher cage.
