Brick and Mortar Modern General Store is located in historic Depot Town, in Ypsilanti, MI. We are revitalizing the ideals of the classic general store from past eras, with a fresh and modern twist. We will carry home decor, bath and body products, art supplies, some hardware, dry goods and everyday items to cater to the community of young families as well as the older generations that remember general stores from their pasts. We embrace and will encourage the handicraft spirit by providing how-to's and creative workshops, as well. We strive to support small businesses and independent makers across the US, and beyond. My husband and I have built most of the fixtures and furniture ourselves, as we are creative makers too.
