Smells of urine, homeless on the stairs leading to northbound platform. Ticket boxes sometimes work and sometimes don't. The ticket station had limited hours and now they lock bathrooms due to homeless people sleeping in bathrooms or using them to wash up. If it ain't homeless begging then it's watch your back here and never let anyone get behind you
It's a train station nothing special. They try to keep it clean you have homeless people sleep in there.
Needs major upgrades. For a station this busy there are no elevators or shelters on the platform. There is also no monitors, track signs and a lack of ticket machines on the platform as well. The inside closes at about 12pm. Sometimes homeless people are sleeping on the stairs. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
No ticket machines, no elevators, no shelters, dirty with a smell of urine
One of the worst stations I've ever been to. It's filthy, there's no one at the desk after 1pm. There's no shelter during inclimate weather because the inside is closed in the afternoon as well. It smells, there's bad lighting, and it's always dirty. NJ Transit and East Orange should be ashamed.
Always seems crowded most time you can't get a seat on the train to Penn Station for a 6.75 fare that's not fair... The surrounding seems so unkept they need more ticket machines.
A nightmare. I needed to exit the station to cross from one platform to another. Down below, trying to cross under, was scary, like a movie scene of a place where a drug deal goes bad. I could not find the way to the other side, because doors were locked, and I felt so unsafe looking around.
Filthy station. You can't stay in the waiting area even if is open due to the bad smell and the homeless people stay in the station asking for money. Unsafe and rude staff
Filthy, heavily neglected station. Often reeks of urine. I've stepped over human fecal matter here, it was there for 3 days. The ticket machines work sometimes.
Train always on time, people are friendly. Restroom is ok. Bike rack is just out of station.
