I'm drawn here because their baked items are made fresh each day and - handcrafted breads and pastries without preservatives. That’s remarkable in today’s world. You can pick up day-old baked items at reduced prices; but I prefer to go early and buy what’s fresh out of the oven. Nothing tastes as good as that. It’s nice for lunches, too. The Café Selection, especially sandwiches, use the bread they make and fill them with tasty combinations. It’s an ideal spot to take your children, catch up with friends, or as I do, host a business coffee, and/or often get something to go. Check out the community table – it really shows great support and loyalty to local residents. The pastry section, since I am such a scone connoisseur, is my favorite. There is no missing the “just-baked” flavor that makes them worth the calories. Every time I’m there I see people buying their caramel nut rolls – only my mom’s recipe beats them . There are made with lots of butter and are chucked full of caramel. While you can purchase them with & without nuts, we prefer the nut version. It’s also very nice that these and many other items re for sale and in both mini and large sizes. The staff are vey friendly, this is something that I find is more common in small towns. I enjoy the chat about menu options, how the food is made, the baking schedule, and why they are so proud of their coffee. Check out this video where I’m filming, and the bakers are so pleasant and waving so friendly. It's a easy to go place for people with wheelchairs. You can enter in the back parking lot and not have to deal with any stair steps or ramp.
Delicious butter croissant, a very different blueberry muffin, not mushy and oversweetened, but crispy and delicious. All home baked, huge selection. Good coffee, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Really great.
Great bakery that is a little hidden so not sure everyone knows about it. Picked up some muffins, caramel rolls and other rolls. Excellent. Very fresh. Soft and full of favor. Caramel rolls with and without nuts and nuts are plentiful on the ones with. Looking forward to trying some of their savory bread options.
Was difficult to find the entrance here. Enter from the parking lot and you'll find a door in the middle of the building. Smell of fresh baked goods here is AMAZING! Seemed to be a pretty good lunch crowd and was impressed with the the menu. Not your ordinary bakery here folks. Large variety of freshly baked breads. Some of which I'd never even heard of. Did get a delicious baguette that was wonderfully crunchy on the outside with a soft, delicious interior. One of the best baguettes we've ever eaten! Will definitely return for croissants and quiche! Little spendier than we would have thought however, the quality is well worth it.
Really delicious baked goods.at a reasonable price. Purchased the orange cranberry and lemon blueberry bread. Yum.
I had a ham and cheese croissant and it was tough and rubbery, the decaf coffee was luke warm..it was a disappointment to say the least.
The smells are fantastic and it's a great atmosphere for a coffee date, lunch, study session, or quick bite!
Excellent bakery. The chocolate and regular crossiants were great, I thought the ham and cheese was okay, but they used cheddar cheese and I thought it didn't work as well as a White cheese. The sourdough is awesome and their decorated sugar cookies are extremely clever.
This is a great bakery with great quality baked goods. Due to popularity of certain items such as caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls, they may run out early. However, you can order them ahead of time.
This place has been on a steady decline since Julie sold it and then quit working there. The caramel roll, once something that could have been featured on the Food Network is a sorry shadow of its old greatness. I couldn't even finish it today, the caramel tastes like chemical and it is not worth anywhere near $5.90. I understand cutting back on quality and raising prices in the current inflationary period, but $5.90 for an inedible pastry is ridiculous at best. The service is also unfriendly every time I go. This morning one of the women looked at me and walked away as I stood at the register. This, sadly, was my last visit.
