I had such an amazing experience working with Paula. I went in just to try dresses on in December and ended up picking up my DREAM WEDDING DRESS. I am plus size and there were a ton of options to try on. Paula made me feel welcome and confident. I never once felt insecure while she helped me into a few different styles. She even let my two junior bridesmaids try on some dresses to help get their sizes. My dress came in almost 2 months earlier than expected and was exactly what I ordered. I did have a moment of doubt and Paula allowed me to come in and compare to the original sample. I can't thank you enough!!!
I made this a filler appointment before another appointment just to see what they had to offer. I went in with no expectations being that all the dresses were $500. When me and my 3 guests came in I immediately felt out of place. This store isn’t for mid to plus size women. You are buying off the rack and for women bigger than a pant size 10 have a limited selection. The selection of dresses was great tho. I did find dresses that were so beautiful but I just couldn’t fit in them so the selection is definitely there. This is a great idea if you’re a common size and you’re on a budget but definitely not an overwhelming bridal experience.
Off the rack wedding & bridal party dresses. I’d cost is a concern, you should check this shop out. The website says “buy it in your first visit for $500”. We found a $2,000 dress. Worth the look!
I bought my dress a little over a year ago and I was able to find my dream dress within my budget! I couldn't find many places that I could get a brand new dress for under $1200. If you're a bride on a budget I highly recommend stopping here!
No one has the variety that Bridal Gallery has. Their staff does a wonderful job of listening and making sure your needs are met. Aubrey hand made my veil to match my gown. She also built up the neckline on the front and I was very happy with it.
Jen was wonderful and made my guests and I feel very welcome, most importantly I found a wonderful dress at a great price!
Well, I was able to get in very quickly. Called this morning and was actually late. When I called I asked if they had plus size dresses, and explained that I was a street size 20. They said yes. Well, that was not the case. They had a handful of dresses.... mostly samples... did not have many beautiful choices above a size 18. Personally I like to be able to at least try on a dress to envision myself in it. When I called I even told them the type of dress that i wanted. They said yes, it's there. Problem is it is only in a size 18. Formal wear you have to size up. Coming away from this, I wish the shops would be up front and say if they can't accommodate you.... instead of just trying to get you into the shop. The person I had initially was very nice. The least person that helped me had a frown, or could have been frustrated. Go figure. How do you think I feel as a customer? I went to my car and called Bridal Elegance..... and they indeed had many dresses that I was interested In and in plus sizes. I have been there before. The staff was amazing, accommodating, and they had all the dresses in plus size availble to try on. It was extremely clean, and you can't even wear shoes in Bridal Elegance. No frowns in there. I would definitely recommend Brides in the Grand Rapids area of any size to go to Bridal Elegance instead of Bridal Gallery. Also, Bridal Gallery's Sample Dresses were extremely filthy...... not the case with Bridal Elegance. I went back and asked the young lady with her furrowed brow Rachel about an Allure Dress I had seen another young future bride. She gave me the info. I've already called Bridal Ellegance.... they have those dresses in my size. I'm glad I came to Bridal Gallery..... cause it gave me the experience of what a future bride does not want. Definitely would not recommended this establishment to anyone.
I scheduled a last minute appointment here after having a not so great experience elsewhere and I'm so glad they had a same day opening! They were so patient and helpful. Bridal Gallery provided the experience that every bride wants when searching for their wedding dress!
This last fall I came to Bridal Gallery with a group of bridesmaids for my sister-in-laws wedding. Our consultant was so fun, spunky, and really patient with the group. The reason for the three star is that of the 4 bridesmaids, 3 were sized incorrectly. One was sized too small and the shop had to pay to order her a new dress. Another bridesmaid’s dress was too big, but she was able to make it work. I was sized 6 sizes too big….6! I was sized as a 10… I am roughly 5’2” and 125 lbs. I disagreed with the consultant because I knew that I had tried on an 8 and it was noticeably too big. She tried arguing that I had tried on a 10 and I had to actually go grab the dress that I had tried on to prove that I was correct. She then realized that she was wrong and realized too that she was using the wrong sizing chart. Even with the correct chart, she sized me as a 6-8. I am typically a 2-4 but was so confused and frustrated that I just went ahead and ordered a 6. It was way too big as expected and it cost my $100 to have it altered so it would fit correctly. I was supposed to try on wedding dresses at this shop a week after this situation and I ended up canceling my appointment because I was worried about how they were going to size me.
I cannot say enough how FANTASTIC my time was at Bridal Gallery. The staff was so kind and welcoming. My consultant, Sam, was absolutely amazing. It's almost like she could read my mind and kept pulling the perfect dresses for me to try on. She asked me to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and try on a dress with a style I originally didn't think I would like. Sure enough that ended up being the dress I picked! I could rave about my experience all day long. If you're looking for a place to get your dress, you can't go wrong here!
