Description

We want to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as well as welcome you to our office. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah; I attended Brigham Young University (BYU) where I majored in Zoology Pre-Dental and played football for the Cougars. From there I went on to play professional football in the NFL as well as the CFL. After retiring from football my family and I relocated to Washington State; where I attended and graduated from The University of Washington (UW), with honors, for my doctorate in Dental Surgery. I’ve been practicing dentistry for 23 years and serving the University Place community for over 20 years. We believe that good dental care starts with a caring, comprehensive approach. Your first visit to our office typically consists of a full set of x-rays, a comprehensive exam, a periodontal evaluation and an oral cancer screening. Your hygienist as well as I will spend time going over your treatment needs where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

I’ve had a longstanding fear about going to the dentist but those days may finally be over. I had a dental emergency and had to get in somewhere. I called and within hours was in to be examined and have the damage assessed. From the very beginning, my mind was put at ease and fear alleviated. First thing the following morning, I was in for a repair and had the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had in a dentist office. Tracy and Dr. Bergeson were amazing the entire time and delivered a worry and pain free experience that I will not soon forget!
My dental hygienist explained everything she was doing prior to performing anything, she was super patient, and had a sweet and calm demeanor. I was thankful for her checking in with me frequently to make sure I was doing okay due to my high anxiety with dental procedures including cleanings. The dentist is and has always been amazing to work with all the years I’ve seen him. He is very informative. All the staff who have been there for more than a couple years always remembers me and welcomes me with a big smile asking how I’ve been.
If you're looking for a great dentist, I highly recommend them. I've had anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist for most my life. They put me at such ease, and I hardly even feel the needle. When I have to have dental work. For me they are worth the 45 min drive to go see them. And my daughters make appointments when they are in town. So they can be seen by them. Even when they were living in Bend, OR.
Everyone is very nice and professional. Carly does an amazing job getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. B seems like a great dentist and good person too. I couldn't recommend anyone higher.
I‘ve been coming here for a couple of years now, I believe. I am not an adult, at all, when it comes to going to the dentist. I turn into a terrified 4 year old. And the dentist and staff here don‘t even bat an eye. They are kind, gentle, reassuring and act as if they don‘t notice the fully grown adult toddler. They take my anxiety seriously and accommodate for it. Dr. Bergeson is very positive, telling me how well I‘m doing for not melting down??? crying??? trying to escape??? and asks if I need a break during longer treatments, etc. In other words, the care is very patient-oriented. I am never made to feel like an inconvenience. I never feel rushed, like, „suck it up, buttercup! We‘ve got other patients to see!“ I‘ve never had any issues getting in to be seen quickly if I am having pain or for scheduling routine care. I‘ve never an any problems with „bad“ dental work or treatments. Incomplete, poorly done, etc. Things I have actually experienced at times in other practices. 100% recommend to anyone, particularly those needing a gentler touch with a side of patience.
I haven’t been to dentist since I got out of the army 11 years ago. Trying to get adequate dental care through the VA is like pulling teeth. No pun intended. Bridgeport Dental Arts was very accommodating in scheduling me an appointment for my filling that had fallen out. All of the staff, hygienist, and doctors, made me feel right at home. Everyone was so personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything very thoroughly. It made me miss the dentist! I will definitely be using them from here on out and will recommend them to anyone who asks. I look forward to the work I have scheduled to be done. Thank you so much Bridgeport Dental Arts.
I have had extensive work done over the last 2 years at this office. Dr. Bergeson and all the staff are extremely skilled, up to date on practices and equipment, professional and friendly to boot! They take great care in making you comfortable and have headphones for your viewing pleasure of Netflix and Prime Video. I highly recommend!
Excellent customer service. Even though I hadn’t been there for a long time, they still remember who I was, and welcomed me as though I was a close friend.
As always, the professional staff made me comfortable and gave excellent care, including a phone call to another surgical clinic for a procedure I needed, and got me in that very day! Dr. Bergeson is a very caring dentist!
Our family has been going to Bridgeport Dental Arts and Dr. Shaw, and now Dr. Bergeson, for 23 years, and we never had a complaint or an issue with their proficiency or professionalism. All of their Staff are caring and friendly! I have only had two Dental Hygienist working on my teeth this entire time and the only reason for this was due to pregnancy and the desire for her to stay home and care for that child, which I think is commendable! The entire Staff feels like a ‘family to our family’ and I feel blessed to have found such a wonderful Dentistry.
