My boys are sick Been here for hours and still haven’t been seen 4 hours we still in the waiting room waiting and I have to work never again it’s not even crowded . I need to move back to the city they this slow for no reason I should’ve went to MT. Vincent at least they faster then here. The deserve a half of star period
Absolutely horrendous. I had to complain to an additional doctor in order for my daughter to be treated. The first doctor spent 5 minutes with my daughter and told me she looked great! She then insisted my daughter was “great” despite me and her pediatrician telling her she wasn’t. Completely avoid bringing your children here if you can. The nurses however, were great and caring.
The wait was a little long but the nurse Isabelle in the emergency room is by far the best nurse I’ve had there. My mom busted her leg in a fall and Isabelle made sure my mom got the care she needed and deserved. Also, Somebody blocked the entrance and she found them and made them move their car too just so my mother could get into our vehicle better! Thank you Isabelle!! Ask for her if you want quality care.
My mom who is 90 years old had a fall and was taken by ambulance here. She was seen by a few nurses and doctors who seem to do their best, the waiting was unbearably long, she was kept hungry for more than 36 hours as she needed to do a cat-scan which took forever to be Done. My mom has advanced dementia, she's not verbal and totally dependent, which the hospital was advised about. She was given a meal that was just "there", I'm really not happy with the system at all. Something has to change, geriatric patients like these need more assistance. I still want to thank the nurses and doctors who helped to get her the medical assistance she needed and to make her as comfortable as possible. Thank you
Sometimes you do have to wait a bit longer to get seen, but they have a good triage system. I understand that there are patient with more urgent needs than mine, or when I go in they take care of me quickly based on how urgent my emergency is. Every time I leave satisfied and know that they have tried their best to help me out with whatever Emergency I have. The medical team really does the absolute best to take care of everyone in the community.
We had an excellent experience at Bridgeport Hospital a few weeks ago. My son has reactive airway disease and was having difficulty breathing. I took him to the ER and the nurse immediately got us into a room due his strained breathing. He was eventually admitted into the pediatric hospital and received great care for the 2 nights we were there. All the nurses and doctors were caring and attentive. My only criticism is that 2 parents should be allowed to stay overnight with their children. I understand there are rules in place due to COVID, but we now have vaccines and treatment plans to help fight COVID. Both my wife and I are vaccinated and boosted and should have been allowed to stay overnight.
On 8/22/22 my 80 year old mother came to the ER via ambulance as she was having chest pains. After a quick evaluation from a doctor we waited in the waiting room for 6 hours prior to getting a room. After another quick evaluation they said she needed a cat scan which we waited another 3 hours before she was taken The nurses seem to be doing their best but all appear to be overwhelmed. To me the administrator of the hospital is failing! The process and procedures are not working, patients are waiting long periods of time for health care and are NOT informed of where they are in the process. The hospital should be embarrassed!
The wait was horrible. I understood the wait but when I pushed the call button the first time didn't speak to a live person just heard the page for someone to come to my room. 15min went by called again I said I only need a blanket because I was extremely cold. I've been in this room for at least 3 hrs with no one checking in on me. Finally I flag a nurse down and she came right away with a blanket. I'm still in the room and no communication at all from the nurse or a Dr. Haven't seen a Dr yet I've been in this room for at least 3hr
I came in at 10:30pm because my baby is very sick and left at 2am without being seen. I understand everyone there is in need of medical help but to think of having an infant waiting 4-5hrs in their car seat to avoid much exposure, is awful. Not just me but many people waiting for HOURS with excruciating pain and tiny babies crying.
Worst nurses in the state. I just had major surgery and I am still dealing with the fact the nurses gave me the wrong meds I am allergic to 3 times. The maternity ward nurses were fine but if you say a swear word once the nurses on any other floor they say oh I don’t have to deal with you and just walk away. I was there for cancer surgery and hysterical with pain and immediately every nurse that heard me swear and cry from my surgery pain the day before just freakin ignored me and were total jerks for my whole time. Except for 2 very young nurses I had in the end all of them were just horrible horrible horrible humans
