Dr. Murphy and his staff are consistently kind and courteous whenever I pay a visit to Bridgeview Dental. Cleanings and check-ups are always thorough and I’ve never had quicker appointments for fillings. On top of that, his use of local anaesthetic isn’t exaggerated which means you aren’t slurring your words for long. Give them a try if you’re in the market for a dentist!
I was a regular customer before moving to Europe in 2011, and know whenever I am in Halifax I schedule an appointment: although I have a good dentist in Europe, I much prefer the professionals at Bridgeview.
Although the service provided is quite enjoyable, the fees are notably more expensive than the standard rates. Moreover, certain aspects of the invoice are not recognized by insurance providers, as they do not categorize them as cleaning procedures, despite their actual nature. As a result, a typical cleaning process that should cost an average amount ends up being pricier, causing you to pay the standard rate out-of-pocket similar to someone without insurance and only having the remainder covered by your insurance. This is quite illogical.
The dental work I received was very professional, the staff friendly and helpful and the rates reasonable.
I have relatively complex dental requirements and without exception these are attended to at Bridgeview which was not the case at other clinics. Dr Halpin and his staff are professional ,courteous and friendly. The office staff are prompt and welcoming. The Hygienists are thorough and do a great job. Highly recommended!
I suffer from Scleroderma & Sjögren’s Syndrome and I cannot have a regular impression. In May before I was going to Halifax for Medical I googled Digital Impressions for Halifax. I picked Bridgeview Dental. So happy I did. Dr. Murphy and his assistant was able to complete a successful Digital Impression of my teeth. The treatment I received from Dr. Murphy and his assistant and the office staff was superb. I was treated like a queen. For their kindness, patience & expertise I am now able to get the proper work done on my teeth that I need so badly. I would recommend Bridgeview Dental to everyone. They do their very best and go beyond expectations to please their patients. They are Excellent. I can’t thank them enough.

I really enjoyed the work of the dental hygienist. She was super friendly as well. I will definitely return. My only criticism would be the price. This dentist pricing must be higher than average. **** Second visit and the hygienist was again very good. My thoughts that the prices are higher remain. Only difference this time is that I felt the admin were very condescending to my questions on clarity of charges. $20 for aerosols related to a cleaning? I still don’t understand but won’t try and seek clarity. Maybe another dentist can explain it or, preferably not charge it at all.
As a person with very little trust for dentist due to having very bad experiences as a child , I went here after a few months of being in pain with a tooth and I honestly had a wonderful dr. , great dental assistant. They both talked to me, gave me my options and explained everything to me. During the procedure of having the tooth removed they continued to ask if I was ok and comfortable. I would recommend Dr.Murphy to anyone.
The best dental experience I have ever had! The needles were actually painless and thats usually the most painful part of going to the dentist for me! Im usually a fainter and they were so amazing I didn't have that problem at all with them! Totally recommend and will be back!
