Jeff VanZant started counseling professionally in 1993 and has worked around the Seattle area co-facilitating men’s growth groups in Bothell, Redmond, Everett, and Bellevue.
After initially working as a trained domestic violence treatment provider helping couples and individuals overcome controlling behaviors, anger, and abuse in domestic relationships, Jeff now focuses his counseling practice on helping individuals and couples seeking to break free from compulsive sexual behavior including:
Pornography, Prostitution, Bikini Barista Stands, Webcaming, Flirting, Erotic Massage, Voyeurism,
Sexual chat, Sexting, Social Media, Cybersex and Internet addiction
Serial sexual and emotional affairs
Sexual Anorexia and other unwanted sexual behaviors
Jeff also works with client family members and spouses to bridge understanding and healing where possible and work towards reconciliation when timing and circumstance permit.
A former campus minister at the Universities of Kansas and Washington, Jeff has frequently counseled young adults on sexual choices and challenges. However, the growing awareness of sexually compulsive behaviors and frequency of presentation among clients, men’s group participants, and those in the recovery community helped propel him to seek further training and specialization to more adequately treat those suffering from hypersexual patterns commonly referred to as sexual addiction.
Jeff has also worked as an industrial engineer and project manager with Boeing and was the director and owner of Tender Care Cottage adult family home in Mill Creek and Shoreline in the 1990’s. He lives in the Seattle area and celebrates 27 years of committed marriage this summer and has raised two sons in the faith.
