Based on other reviews, I think Bright Horizons has potential. HOWEVER, things they don't tell you until you schedule a tour, take time off work during their ONLY tour option time for infants, 10am on Mondays, and come in person: - 98% of the kids in the facility are children of Baptist employees, and the other 2% are former Baptist employees. - They won't even consider a non-Baptist employee "Community Member" for the infant wait list at this point in time. Basically, if you are not a Wake Forest Baptist employee, you have a nearly 0% chance of getting in within 3 years. My husband and I plus another couple didn't even participate in the tour after this was finally shared with us on site. What a waste of time.
Really great place. Every day I feel confident that my child will be well taken care of and safe. All the teachers we’ve met have a passion for the kids and seem to enjoy what they do so I don’t have to worry about them. Melissa and Alexis were great in the infant program with my daughter and I know that her knew teacher in the toddler program will be just as great. I look forward to using them for a few years down the road.
It is $150 non refundable to join the wait list! Wait list for infants to this date is 1-2 years.
Bright Horizons at Wake Forest is a 5 star licensed center. Their emergent curriculum is something that ensures the teaching of the WHOLE child. The staff and administrators are very caring, respectful, and responsive to needs whenever they arise. My child has truly blossomed and thrived while being at this center.
I feel as though the administration at this daycare is not being truthful with parents. While touring the facility, you are assured that space will be available in the time frame in which you need childcare, despite there being wait list because, as the employee stated, "by the time most people on the wait list are contacted, they have already found childcare." So you pay them $75 to be added to the list. If you ask them how many people are in front of you, they will put off answering your question or promise to call you back and let you know and then you won't hear from them again. And forget calling and leaving multiple messages because your call will not be returned. If you are lucky enough to eventually get in touch with someone when you call back again, they are very rude. When you press them for an answer about where you are on the wait list, you finally find out that there are DOZENS of people ahead of you! Are they telling parents that there will be a space available when they need it just to get people to pay the $75 fee? Who knows, but sure seems that way.
DO NOT APPLY for childcare!!! Many of the times I've called I've been told that there is a waiting list and that I could still apply. I'd been waiting for a spot to open for a year and still have been waiting. If you want to lose your money and waste time waiting for a call for a spot this is the best place to do so.
Bright Horizons is a Great place to work. I love the staff and the parents are very supportive. Overall it's a great place to work.
Bright Horizons at Wake Forest Baptist Health is a great childcare center. The teachers and the Administrators are awesome!!
Was looking for information on the school and I have to say I’m totally turned of just by the receptionists attitude. Very unprofessional and discourteous.
