My son started at Kiddy Garden shortly after I returned to work from maternity leave. I was nervous and unsure about the thought of daycare. Shortly after he started attending, I realized how blessed I felt to have chosen the perfect care center. Ms. Megan in the infant room is absolutely fabulous and made me feel comfortable being away from my little guy all day. We are now in the toddler room. I was impressed with how Ms. Pat the owner knew the exact right time to move him over. It gave my son the push he needed in the areas of milestones he was on the verge of meeting. Ms. Jessica has also been with my son since the infant room; she's awesome and really knows the kids and exactly what they like. The whole center and staff is fabulous and I couldn't be happier with my choice. They are your best advocates and super helpful and I have always trusted their judgment when it comes to any questions I've had being a first time mommy.
My original plans for childcare fell through and I was in a pinch to find a place for my son three weeks before returning to work. I never imagined I would put him in daycare but I am so happy things ended up working out the way they did. Ms. Pat owner was very patient with all of my first time mom questions. She was very helpful in giving me and my husband tours and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable. We were able to call on three other families that currently have their children at the daycare and they all had great things to say. You can tell the parents and kids were happy with Kiddy Garden. I am now 5 months in and our son is doing great. When we drop him off in the morning he has a big smile when he sees Ms.Pat or any other teacher there. When we pick him up he's happy and cheerful as well. It's such a relief knowing he's in good hands. I like the reports we get at the end of each day. The staff there is very observant and they always alert us to any red flags we should be aware of. If he's been fussy more than normal, if he's running a temp, if he's coughing, etc. I can tell they really do know my son and what is normal for him. It's so nice knowing I have a whole team looking out for his well being. They have great hours that should work with any working parents schedule. They have a great holiday/vacation schedule that is extremely fair. You should check this place out if you are in the area. They have a great way of letting you come to your own decision, you do not feel pressured or rushed into making a decision.
The staff is wonderful - incredibly caring and attentive to your child’s needs. Each week has creative, customized lesson plans to meet specific age groups. I’m so happy we found this place! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trusting daycare.
So thankful for Kiddy Garden and all the staff there. This past year was super challenging, but once they were allowed to open back up they had a great process in place for drop off and pick up. Our son is always super happy when he comes home and loves sharing about his day.
My 2 year old has been going here for 3 months now and we love it! I thought our last daycare was great, but it was just okay compared to this one. The facility is very nice, clean and bright with all the windows. The teachers are all so caring, the owner really knows how to hire the right people. If you are looking for a daycare in the Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Wauconda area - I toured them all and none compared to this one.
Kiddy Garden is awesome! The staff is flexible, reasonable, and consistent; which makes for happy kids. The teachers do a great job communicating with parents and always try to keep the kids engaged through different activities. I would highly recommend this location to family or friends.
Hi! Wanted to put a shout out to Miss Pat and her staff! I appreciate and am thankful for how you educate, love, and direct my son. He was 6 weeks old when I left him in your care, and is now an awesome 4 1/2 year old. Pre K curriculum is solid. Greatest daycare ever at reasonable rates. We love our new teacher Miss Laura. Looking forward to a great year!
Our son loves it here! He loves his teachers and friends, and he’s always excited to run inside every day. They’ve done a great job settling him in and supporting him through different phases.
Kiddy Garden is a great, affordable daycare with a very friendly, professional staff. Their building is perfect for a daycare center, with several classrooms for different age groups, bathrooms in the classrooms, a large gym room, two enclosed playgrounds, etc and is also very secure. They also partner with other organizations in the surrounding communities to offer extra curricular activities including Stretch-n-Grow and Dancing Stars classes. Our oldest attended full-day daycare at Kiddy Garden for over three years and was very well-prepared for school when he started kindergarten: he knew the alphabet, he knew how to write his own name, he knew his home address, he knew how to count, he understood simple addition & subtraction, etc. Our youngest two both attend full-day daycare there now. We are friends with several other families whose kids attend daycare here, and look forward to seeing the entire extended Kiddy Garden family ever year at their Thanksgiving feast & holiday show! Regarding some of the negative reviews, I don't understand Aga Zak's complaint. Kiddy Garden is very open & upfront about their fees and policies, and everything is spelled out in the handout they provide to prospective new parents. Regarding refunds specifically they have an explicit "2-weeks notice" cancellation policy so it couldn't have come as a complete surprise that they weren't eligible for a full refund when they cancelled suddenly despite their unfortunate situation. I can understand their disappointment & frustration, but it shouldn't have been surprising. As for the complaint that their facility is outdated I can't imagine what they are referring to. The building isn't that old, it was probably built within the last 20 years or so, it is always clean and well-kept, all of the rooms are large and open with big windows that let in plenty of natural light all day long, etc. I've always been impressed by their facility, and quite frankly I think their building is a lot nicer than most of the other daycares around Barrington and Lake Zurich that my wife & I visited.
I've always felt comfort in knowing that my children are fully taken care of and learning so much every day! I'm truly grateful to have Kiddy Garden in my life and would highly recommend this facility!
