Our daughter is in preschool here and with in 2 weeks of starting we noticed a huge difference in her speaking. Everyone in the school knows her name and says hi to her when we walk through the halls and she is only in PS. The teachers and support staff are amazing and you know that they really care about the kids and do what they can for them. We looked at 4 different schools and liked that they had naps in preschool. We love the school and all that it offers. It is pricey but you defiantly get what you pay for. When my parents visit from Michigan they have just marveled at how much she has grown and how her vocabulary has blossomed. They can't get over how nice the school is and how nice everyone is. When your kid tells you that her favorite part of the day is Miss. Rettell, Miss. Shawna, and Miss. Becka you know that she being cared for.
My daughter attended full time Pre-K last year and will be attending Brighton this year as a Kindergartner. The school, teachers, and staff are nothing less than outstanding. Not only was I pleased with how much my daughter learned, I was impressed by the caring nature of her teachers and the great atmosphere of the school in general. I'm more than happy to pay tuition at Brighton vs. sending my daughter to public school because public schools don't offer anything close to the education offered at Brighton. Even when I compare this school to the private catholic school my son attended at this age Our Lady of Fatima, Brighton is my favorite. What I like so much about the school: Optimal student/teacher ratios small class sizes, student community stewardship is fostered and emphasized for all ages, the classrooms are warm and inviting, the entire faculty is engaged and they take time to get to know the kids and their families, the other parents aren't stuck up, there's virtually no conflict or bullying among students because the teachers pay close attention to the social dynamics in their classrooms no child gets picked on or left out, academics really are tailored for each student, all of the grades are exposed to science and technology in creative ways 'hands on' learning and opportunities, all of the teachers employ positive discipline; therefore teaching the kids self discipline, and I could go on an on.... We love Brighton!
We have been here for 4 years so far and have had a very good experience. The PTO is very active and makes sure there are many enrichment activities on top of the regular curriculum. We have always had caring and responsive teacher and small class sizes. The other parents are wonderful too.
The Principal David Locke is arrogant and egotistic. He demands to be addressed as Dr. Locke and has no compassion for students who require any type of special needs. Pathetic personality at best, Wayne DeWitt
The staff is wonderful and makes your family feel welcome. Our family has been very pleased with the school environment and teachers.
Teachers are awesome, things are being run well!
On your first day at this school you get 2 hours of homework just to catch up to everyone else, that;s only for 6th grade!
