BrightStar Care provides excellent home care services to clients around the Greater Lansing Area. As a nurse in the hospital I, and many of my colleagues, have referred our patients to them with great success once they discharge home. They are very timely in their responses to our calls/emails and have always been very professional to deal with. I would recommend BrightStar Care of East Lansing to other families looking for additional assistance in the home for their loved ones.
I love - love- love my job. I have rarely in my life been blessed to work for an employer who walks the talk: puts patients first and their staff a very close second. I have very rarely felt totally supported and cared about as an employee. I highly recommend working for this company. I know I am staying with them as long as I am working in the health care field.
My sister an I met with Nick, the sales rep for Brightstar. We were so impressed! They got us a caregiver within 2 weeks. Unfortunately she had a family emergency in Illinois and she was no longer available. Unfortunately, the communication and service from the office was at best spotty from then on out. They said they sent people 2 times and 2 times these people didn't show up and I had to call the office to find out what was going on. Once they sent someone and they didn't tell me who and if they were sending anyone for that day so I was not at all prepared for anyone to arrive. I was truly confused so I turned that person away. They understood I needed a vaccinated caregiver. Although I think they tried their best the company did not live up to the sales pitch.
My mother, who is currently 99 years old, has had quality yet compassionate care from Bright Star. Her current caretaker not only takes care of her physical needs, but is also an excellent companion who goes way beyond the call of duty to make my mother comfortable in her own home. Bright Star does an excellent job of matching up suitable personalities and is very Responsive to any needs I have requestrd. I highly recommend them.
I am a hospice Social Worker and have used BrightStar for home care and support, including 24/7 in home care and additional support for dementia patients living in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities. This company is amazing, starting with their Owner Chris, Director of Nursing Tom, Sales Liaison Nick, and Nurse Suzy as well as countless other nurses and caregivers. All are trustworthy, kindhearted, skillful professionals who go above and beyond to make sure their clients and families have the highest quality home care services. Whenever a family needs something they jump through hoops to make it happen-- whether it is companion care, personal care, or skilled nursing. I am proud to be associated with this impressive care company!
BrightStar Care is a great company to work for as they are amazing at communicating. They are willing to go above and beyond for their clients making sure that clients are well taking care of, and meeting goals. They take pride in making sure both the clients, and caregivers, are comfortable by matching the perfect caregivers with clients that can best meet their needs. Also giving recognition and rewarding caregivers that will go above and beyond with all of their clients. Making sure that their hard work is not going unnoticed and that they are appreciated. I would highly recommend BrightStar Care to families who are in need of care or someone looking for work.
Excellent and highly professional service. Met with Nick and Suzanne re: transitioning mom back to assisted living, though with increased needs. After first exploring mother's needs and preferences, they presented various options that they could provide, as well as those of their "competitors" in a gracious and non-biased fashion. We ended up choosing another service that best fit mom's needs. They were most helpful in this process. As a medical professional, I can truly appreciate their level of professionalism and give them my highest recommendation.
My dad is a veteran. We had a home health aide set up for him. The first day the aide was scheduled, she didn't show. They said it was a covid exposure. Then she came early when she was rescheduled and my father sent her away. Then she had been scheduled with someone else at the same time so she didn't come. Now she was sick. So she showed 1 of 4 times. The office was rude and difficult when I contacted them. My husband and I had taken two days off work for this because he doesn't live near us.
I was very impressed with Bright Star and all of there employees from the owner Chris and his sales liaison Nick to the home health aids Tasha and Stacey that did a fantastic job with my mom. They were very respectful and did everything asked with a smile and a positive attitude. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of care in home for any relative. I appreciate all they did and would not hesitate to use them again if needed.
Quality of care is actually 5 stars, however I preferred regular contact from front-line staff, or a supervisor of front-line staff, about how my loved one was doing. This is important so I could answer any questions they had and give guidance when needed. There was much flexibility in their care, which we liked. Thank you.
