The nurses and staff at BrightStar Care of Hartford made my father’s final days as comfortable and peaceful as anyone could ever hope for. They involved our entire family as part of the care team and treated my father with care and respect. I cannot recommend their services highly enough for anyone who needs extra support to keep their loved ones at home Or just that little bit of extra help to make life manageable when caring for a family member.
It’s been almost a month since my husband of 57 died and the memory of his passing will always stay with me. The experience of helping a loved one pass on should always be what I experienced. Peaceful, painless, loving and surrounded by those he loved and who loved him. This would not have been possible without the staff from BrightStar. Starting with Heidi, as a most trusted advisor – experienced in coordinating with Hospice providers. Then the nurses who worked through a ‘plan of care’. Plan of care reads like it’s a routine, but with those who came and assessed it felt far from routine. It was a plan for my husband’s dying moments and was so smooth and caring that it was as if I and my family were ‘alone’ with Ron. When he was lucid, he whispered that he ‘liked Latoya and Mio’. From a man who hated company, this was so welcomed. They treated him with respect and dignity, and they supported us as if they were angles on our shoulders. Ron died where he lived.... and loved. Thank you BrightStar....
When I had began meeting with Heidi Partain I was feeling overwhelmed regarding the next steps in my parents' independent living. After meeting with Heidi Partain, I left feeling prepared and as if I had an ally. I felt as if Heidi cared about my parents' dignity and safety as much as I did. Heidi is devoted to her clients' well-being and their caretakers. She manages to be both professional and compassionate. Heidi guides you through the process with honesty and understanding. She answered all of my questions and provided me with information that I never even considered. I recommend.
BrightStar provides overnight care for my mom after she returned home from rehab. The aide was so kind and caring, assisted with bedtime routine, helped with bathroom in night, assisted with shower, dressing in morning, made breakfast and cleaned up. Such a relief for me as I live 3 hours away. You cannot put a price on that peace of mind. Thank you!!
My new Clent for CT Conservator Care was difficult. Already had another agency for a month and they gave up. Brightstar cared, kept her calm and was part of a great team trying to help her adjust.
