Description

The Bristol Hospice ~ Texas, LLC will provide hospice services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.

I have been the sole caretaker for my sweet Grandfather while he is in hospice care under Bristol of The Woodlands. I can't say enough good about Bristol. I first started with Bristol in California and then we moved to Texas. They take amazing care of my Grandfather and help me navigate not only emotionally but physically the challenging needs my Grandfather requires. I have never been a caregiver and Bristol has guided me beautifully and I will be forever grateful!
Thank you so much for the wonderful way you helped our Dad the last few days of his life. We were happy he was mostly comfortable and now in peace.Onyx kindness, care and concern will be always remembered by the whole family. She made sure our Dad was ok on medication, supplies and treatment. She was there when our Dad passed and her presence and help was critical to go over such difficult time. Thank you Bristol Hospice, Jeannete and especially thanks Onyx, God bless you all.
While in the ICU, my wife of 51 years, health had turned for the worst. When Hospice contacted me I was impressed with the information given by them. Even though we both had living wills, it was much easier to make those decisions with the guidance of Hospice. In addition to that I'm looking forward to Hospice providing me advice after losing my love one.
Outstanding service these people are kind gentle caring everything that you would want a person to be that is spending your loved ones last hours with. I highly recommend them.
So far we have been very pleased with Bristol Hospice. My 92 year old father is experiencing deteriorating health and the hospice team has jumped in to assist our family in managing his care through his final days. I feel very confident that the Bristol Hospice team will be there for him and our family physically, emotionally and spiritually! I would not hesitate to recommend Bristol Hospice.
My mother was on palliative care with Bristol hospice for 8 months. The rating above is strictly for the company and management. I am giving them 1 star because they hired some of the most loving /caring nurses that I have ever encountered. I would have given given management no stars. My mother had a large tumor that erupted one morning and it took over 2 1/2 hours for someone to arrive to my home for this emergency despite numerous phone calls to the company. My entire family can not erase what we endures that morning. I spoke to Norman the “director” and he informed me that he would look into The situation to figure out what happened and call me back on Tuesday. That phone call never came despite me calling numerous times to follow up. The director does not care about the customers at all. My mother mattered! We deserved an explanation as to why her medical care was neglected on this day. My beloved mother gained her wings a few days later. People please do your research. There are always better options
My mom had progressive lung disease and was on 100% oxygen. We were told by a representative at Bristol that my mom would receive morphine and an anxiety medicine and would be weaned off of her oxygen. My mom was very alert until the day before hospice came to the hospital. My mom was still awake enough that she was still talking to us when we would talk to her. After hospice gave the orders to the nurse, the nurse came in, gave my mom the morphine and anxiety meds and within minutes took her totally off of her oxygen. She went from 100% oxygen to 0% oxygen. My mom was still conscious, and she panicked and told us that she couldn't breathe. Those words from my mom will always haunt me and the fear on her face. Thankfully, we were able to calm her down soon after that. When we were told that my mom was going to be weaned off of the oxygen, we had no idea that meant that she would go from 100% to 0%. We thought it would be a more gradual process. We were in no way prepared for that and it was very traumatic to witness for my family. I had no idea that she was still going to be awake and able to talk when her oxygen was totally taken away from her after she had relied on it for 3 weeks in the hospital. I wish that would have been communicated to us. All that we were told is that she would receive morphine and anti-anxiety medicine and she would be weaned off of the oxygen. Please communicate to families in the future what weaning off of oxygen means if it means taking them totally off so that they can be prepared.
When you're in unfamiliar territory you need a guide and my family could not have asked for better than Bristol to navigate us through at home care for my grandmother. Kendra's initial call started a clear path. By the time my grandmother was discharged from the hospital, all equipment was setup at home and her first nurse, Denise, was there to assist me. For the 11 days my gran was under Bristol's care I learned so much about the dying process because the nurses took time to explain to me along the way what to expect. Around the fifth day, I was having a "moment" and spoke with Julia who doubled her efforts by having Tiffany contact me, then they both got me over that emotional road bump. Kendra, Ashleigh, Denise, Jastayia, Julia, Patrick, Tiffany, Joanelle, Sheena, Candace, and Sunny, each of you was exceptionally caring to my grandmother and supported my family through our dark period. Sheena, you were on duty the night gran passed and the compassion your showed our family deserves highest praise. Bristol Hospice, if ever I need a hospice in my last days I hope I'll be blessed with a team like my gran's.
I must say we went threw a lot of care givers over the years with so many many agencies. But the group we had to take care of my Dad in his final months with Bristol was amazing. They were compassionate and developed a great relationship with our family. My father required an extraordinary about of care and they were happy to be there each and every day. If I'm ever in the unfortunate situation to need hospice again I would definitely use them.
Oh what an awesome Hospice provider. You couldn’t ask for a more caring staff. Bristol Hospice Exceeded my expectations. I will recommend them to any family member or friend without reservations.
