Bristol Jewish Center

About

BJC (Congregation Ahavath Achim), founded in 1904, was the first Jewish congregation in Bucks County, and served its community until May 2015.

Description

BJC provided religious services to a diverse Jewish community in Bristol for over 100 years. Founded in 1904, BJC was the first Jewish congregation in Bucks County, and recently celebrated it's 111th anniversary.

BJC continued its tradition of keeping BJC a warm, friendly, and welcoming space for many years with the help of our congregants and student Rabbis from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College located in Wyncote, PA.

BJC was considered a "conservative" congregation, but welcomed people of all religious backgrounds, and included women in services.

Mission

To provide religious services for the Jewish community (non-Jews welcome!) and a warm, friendly, and welcoming space to worship and wash away the stresses of everyday of life.
